We have a small farm that we want to expand and keep as organic as it used to be when our grandparents used to run it. We have little experience in agriculture and we are mainly learning on the job. We offer bed and food to anybody willing to help run the farm.
We have some animals; goats, sheep, pigs, chicken, a donkey and a cow and of course some cats and dogs. So anybody who loves animals and doesn't mind getting dirty is welcome. One of the projects for 2018 will be setting up a greenhouse of more or less two hundred square meters; that's going to be some tough work that we're looking forward to. This year, hopefully, we'll be planting some trees too.
Many other big projects might pop up any time, but there's always the day to day maintenance of the farm and machines, painting, building, mending and many more. You won't get bored. We also have some comunity projects; initiating people to waste sorting and other related products like compost and more.
So there's many things... more inside

We are a Permaculture Farm Project that is in construction. Here you can learn good skills about building your own house, growing your own food, making your lake productive and many other. We started this project in 2015 and it is still going on. Since then we have been constructed an organic fish pond, swales, and terraced gardens, rehabilitating a river bed and weíve brought an old haybarn piece by piece like a puzzle at the construction site to be later used for the main house as part of the wooden structure of the attics and roof. We are clearing an old (out of use) forest to make a forest garden, and many other cool stuff like designing and starting to build a superadobe house made from earthbags and a wooden shingle roof, rocket stoves, planting fruit trees and shrubs, mulching, building a terrace and a compost toilet and so on... We are very active people and we welcome volunteers who want to do some action and learn really useful permaculture knowledge. We are constructing w... more inside

Our property is nestled in the picturesque Tohani hills, surrounded by vineyards and ancient almond orchards. We had the desire for many years to live more close to the land and be self sufficient, but this year we made courage and we have moved from Wales together with our kids and dogs to Romania to have a fresh start.
We want our buildings to be environmentally friendly as much as we can.
With very little building experience we have started. We will like people to come and learn and even more so to teach us or to learn together with us how to live and build more responsibly.
We will need help with picking berries and fruits to make jams and preserves for the winter, foraging.
Building our 6 hobbit homes from wood and cob.
Digging the ground.
We will provide food and wine you just bring the tent over.

Heavenly Village Romania is the name I give to this big and inspiring Project. With an international group of people, friends, family, young and older, volunteers and everyone that is interested we have the goal to bring life back again in the old off road village of Bratea. Let me introduce myself, my name is Mike, I am a world citizen from the Netherlands, I travelled a lot and amongst other things I have experience with running a successful Bed & Breakfast with volunteers from all over the world. I have some knowledge and experience in building my own habitat, ecological agriculture and permaculture. I wish to grow in this and to realize the principles that goes with the theories here on this land.

A young family, my son David, Iris and Felix, bought a very nice little farm of 7 hectares called Gradina Edenului (transl. "Garden of Eden") next to the 8.5 hectares of extra land with an old house that has to be restored. We have very good water coming from different wells, lots o... more inside

UPDATE 10th NOVEMBER 2017: - SEEKING ENTHUSIASTIC VOLUNTEERS FROM 15TH OF NOVEMBER!

Hello everyone! We're Dan, Sam and Jason, 3 young world travellers from England and the USA. With over 16 years of combined travel experience, hitchhiking and couchsurfing in over 60 countries, we travelled with a dream to start our own hostel one day.

After years of hard work and dedication, we finally made our dream a reality. In November 2016, we opened a homely hostel/tea house combo in Bucharest based around principles of learning, growing and community.

Besides a nice location just 5 minutes walk away from central Unirii square, we have a beautiful garden, stage, and host / run workshops, events & other social gatherings at the hostel, and focus on giving every single one of our guests a memorable experience.

We are prioritizing people skilled with marketing, videography and social media skills, but also to help with making beds, cleaning, hanging out with guests, and little tasks... more inside

Hi everyone! Welcome :)
I live in a small and old saxon village (UNESCO Herigate Site) called Copsa Mare, in the heart of Transylvania.
I live in a very simple and relaxed way, trying to be in harmony with nature in my small but cozy house. I make hand made products out of wool (felt), such as shoes, hats, bags, carpets, etc.
When the weather allows, I will need from my volunteers to help me in my garden with work such as, picking fruits, planting new vegetables and fixing fences.I have some medical problems in the backbone, so I can not get things up. A good help would be the one who likes physical work to.
And when the weather is not that comfortable to work outside I will need some help inside, like working with the wool. Better if you have experience with this, but if not, I am more than happy to teach you this lovely art.
And during all 4 seasons I will need help with general tasks like cutting wood, feeding the chickens and ducks, and some possible renovation works in t... more inside
