Hi, we are a couple close to 50 years old but young at heart! We live in the country, on a wooded land that we bought a few years ago. We have many projects but not enough time to do everything! Amongst other things, we need hands to help us cut our wood (use a chainsaw, split the wood and pile it). We are also making walking trails on our land. We need help to clean the trails. An apartment will be provided with all necessary equipment (appliances, dishes, bed sheets, towels, etc...). Help required for approximately 1 or 2 weeks in May. Helping hours to be discussed.

Nous avons donc besoin ... more inside

Hey There,
We are building our shelter this summer and would love to welcome extra helping hands and hearts!

We live on a 100+ acre woods/field that is part of a land trust with fellow community members. We have 2.5 acres to build our own personal homestead on and this will be our first summer transforming that idea into a reality.

We would love support building our strawbale home and are welcoming anyone who has ever wanted to learn how to build a home with primarily locally sources material. Our build will also include a rubble trench, earthbag construction elements, raw sheeps wool insulation, cedar shakes for our gable ends and an earthen floor. We will also be using cob to cover the walls! If you are at all interested in making art with us let us know!

Our accommodation will be tents (which we too will be sleeping in) and completely off grid with wifi at a nearby center.

We are asking for roughly 3-4 hrs energy exchange five days a week in exchange for 2-3 meals ... more inside

Hello, We have on the coast of Maine a small 5 acre National Park vacation yurt rental and we need help maintaining, greeting guests, simple but regular housecleaning, getting in wood, and general managing. We specifically need help at the end of May to the beginning of October 2018. Our helpers work approx. 2 hours a day and have a little 13 ft. off-the-grid yurt to sleep in, and an outdoor kitchen and a shed to store personal belongings, as well. There is no electricity, no bathroom (only an outhouse)and showering is only available at the local YMCA for $2. The property is on a dirt road in a pretty residential neighborhood. We have a spectacular location for exploration of nature by bike or using the bus shuttle to and from Acadia National Park. No individuals under 18 and no drugs or smokers, please.. Dog welcome. Please let us know your situation, and we will see if we are a good match. Bruce & Melissa (owners)
And, Thank You!

Seeking helpers for October!

Welcome to our little homestead, an old farmhouse on a few acres of land bordering the Oromocto river. The capital city of Fredericton is just 15 minutes away by car, or one hour's bike ride on the nearby Trans-Canada Trail. There is a river in our backyard to enjoy, and a really nice sandbar beach just down the road from us.

We have many projects on the go, mainly around fixing up the house and growing more of our own organic food. During your visit, you might be looking after our small flock of happy chickens, maintaining our vegetable garden, planting fruit trees, building a greenhouse or gazebo, painting, and more. Experience is not required, but always welcomed.

We ask for 4 hours of help, 5 days per week. Then you have the rest of the day to relax with a book from our library, float on the river with a cool drink in hand, go swimming or for a canoe ride, go for a bike ride on the trail, play guitar, or just sit and watch the chickens scr... more inside

We are a cozy small self-sustaining family farm that seeks helpers. Located in south-eastern New Brunswick, on the shore of the Northumberland Strait. We are about an hour from Moncton NB, and Amherst NS, and Charlottetown PEI. 5 min from the Confederation Bridge. Also very close to fabulous beaches and natural attractions.
During the summer months we grow organic produce in 3 large gardens that we sell from our homestead. Also roaming around we have a small herd of tame cattle and lots of poultry.
We are a middle aged couple who also share our home with 3 dogs and 6 cats. We welcome you to be part of our family.
In the spring chores include: preparing the garden, fencing and taking care of the pasture lands as well as helping with the young chickens and turkeys. In the summer chores include: harvesting produce, weeding, watering, etc. In the fall chores include harvesting produce and cleaning up the garden, also we would need help cutting firewood.
