Currently, I am looking for help, starting as soon as Dec. 17th. Preferably a girl, because of the nature of the chores and tasks at this time of year.
I live on a Ranch, 30 minutes S.W. on Calgary, with a terrific view of the Rocky Mountains.
All the wildlife that you can imagine, live in this area.
The chores here are varied. I need help with
Feeding, and maintenance of the Sheep and their pens.
The garden consists of raised garden boxes, cold frames and some ground beds. Weeding, watering, harvesting and improving the garden is one of the summer chores.
I only have a few Horses, that require some attention. Feeding and maintaining their pastures.
The small chicken house requires daily cleaning, feeding and collecting of eggs.
When the hay is ready for harvesting, there are a few longs days of collecting and stacking the bales. It is always a race with the weather, to get the bales into the barn before we get hit with a thunderstorm or rain shower.
Experience wit... more inside

Hello, we are a young and very busy family of four living in the Peace Country only 15 minutes east of Grande Prairie, AB.
We are very proud of our young business - a high quality boarding and day care kennel for dogs. Two years ago we started out very small in our garage offering dog boarding to people in our area knowing that Grande Prairie had the need for a quality boarding kennel. Now we have built and operate out of a spiffy brand new facility and can accommodate up to 20 guest dogs. Also, 25 years ago when Aaron was 13 years old he started breeding, training and racing his own sleddog team. Having now raced all over North America in major competitions and winning some prestigious events. We are very proud of our huskies. Together, all those dogs require a lot of attention, care and cleaning up after.
Jobs will involve everything related to the boarding kennel (which if busy will always come before our own dogs). We feed, walk, train, play, entertain and clean up after ou... more inside

we have lots of baby rabbits right now lots, every helper gets at least one to take home
SO IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS : this is the right place for you. There are lots of animals to feed,
you can:
- learn how to milk a cow (if you don't know it already),
- bottlefeed the calves (especially in winter and spring)
- feed the poultry, collect eggs (it does not get fresher than that!)
- take care of our rabbits, they like to be cuddled and spoiled with freshly picked dandelion :-)
- cook, if you like to
- make hay with us if you come between july and September

We are a Warmblood horse breeding and training family farm. One of our goals is to produce top quality horses for international competition in jumping, dressage and three day events. Our main farming activities include feeding, training, breeding and caring for our herd of 150 horses. To view current pictures of our horses life here, go to our Touchstone Farm Facebook page.

We have chosen to be as close to nature as we can and build as naturally as possible. We are therefore a rustic facility. We have a small portable saw mill for sawing our own wood. We are endeavoring to organically produce some of our own food. To this aim, we also have goats, chickens, a cow & calves and a garden. When there is enough milk production, we make yogurt and cheese.

We need help year round with the livestock, training and caring for the horses, pasture management, fencing, landscaping, gardening, meal preparation, housekeeping, building construction and repairs, cutting lumber and firewood, ... more inside
