*Info for December 'till mid January: I'm looking for a couple who would like to house sit for me from 17th Dec - 10th Jan. If you would like to arrive earlier and/or stay longer this is also possible. My little dog would love company and walks, my chooks will give you eggs in exchange for a chat and some clean water and food and my plants will really thank you if you could keep them watered . Apart from this, please enjoy the lovely peace and bush here in Warrandyte while I'm away.

Accommodation here is self contained and separate from my house, in amongst the trees and bush of Warrandyte. Morning walks with the dog along the Yarra River are a beautiful start to the day. The area is surrounded by State Parks, and includes the Yarra River so it is very peaceful, and good for swimming in summer. There is a lot of gardening and many odd jobs for you to help with and plenty of time to explore the Yarra Valley. At times help on community art projects may be useful. The weeken... more inside

***EarthArtBeat festival November 17-19th, Helpers needed***

Moora Moora is an intentional community of about 30 households on top of Mount Toolebewong, 70km north-east of Melbourne.
Our helpers stay together in a community owned building we call 'The Lodge'. We are a great place to come and help at as there are always lots of people, other helpers or community members to have fun with. The work is varied as you work with different people each day. Jobs that you are likely to be asked to do included vegetable gardening, weeding, fencing, building, painting, rendering, wood splitting, wood staking, landscaping, building chicken runs, cleaning, perhaps child minding and more.
We have wifi in The Lodge but it is a little slow. The Lodge is also solar powered and power is limited sometimes, we cannot use hair dryers in The Lodge.
During your two days off we have many ways you can enjoy yourselves. We have a waterhole to swim in and a tennis court. We are also surrounded by forest ... more inside

We are a mature couple working from home and are looking to find a young & enthusiastic young man who can help with general garden maintenance, eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc.
In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom in our lovely home and meals.( Free wi fi is also available.)
We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, but only 3km from the main highway and station.
It would be an advantage to have an international driver's licence and a MUST to be a dog lover! (We have 2 !)
This would be an excellent opportunity for a traveller requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer.
We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only.
This position is available immediately, so please contact us if you feel it suits you.

Would you like to help out at a small organic market garden bordered by both a river and a creek in a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling hills and statuesque gum trees?

You can walk around the town and surrounding countryside and experience gorgeous views for photography, drawing and painting, or just contemplation. You can swim in our river (complete with mini-beach) as well as at the spectacular nearby attractions of Turpins Falls and The Cascades. There are tennis courts you could use in Metcalfe and we also have bikes you could use to explore the area.

We are 20 minutes away from Kyneton and Castlemaine, two great towns with historic buildings and artisan markets, and not much further from Daylesford and Bendigo.

We use some permaculture methods in the garden such as rotating pigs and chickens through the vegie beds and the mini-orchard. Everything is grown by hand and hoe. We grow a wide variety of vegies, berries and fruits which we supply to locals.

We are lo... more inside

This is a beautiful property - and requires some general property maintenance.
Jobs including gardening - weeding, mowing, trimming, mulching and some painting. The choock shed needs a bit of attention, nothing to major, just general upkeep really.
I'd be happy to have you here, no smoking, drugs or alcohol.
The property backs onto the beautiful Tarago River and has a variety of native bird life around.
For those wondering - there is plenty of space to park your RV and hook up to water and power!
Longwarry North is in West Gippsland, its about 1hr 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, about 1 hour from Philip Island & Wilsons Prom, at the foothills of the Strezlecki ranges and Mt Baw Baw. Some very beautiful country to explore around Gippsland.
Your own vehicle is a must.
