Hi Helpers -
We are a small family of 3 who live in Co. Clare.
just outside the village of Lisdoonvarna. (3km). I am a wild-food forager and gather seaweed and wild herbs regularly to make natural cosmetics.

We will mostly be working on our beautiful land. We co-own 7 acres of land with beautiful sea views in the Burren, 5km from our house and currently are looking for people to build a dry stone wall at the entrance. If you have skills in this area , please contact us.

On the land, we also require help cutting hazel wood in the forest - (really special work) and carrying the poles a short distance. It requires physical strength but it is such amazing work.

I am currently collecting wood, glass windows and other building materials to make a glass house/workshop space for our land.

For April, we also need help painting the house outside and some small carpentry/DIY jobs in the house.

We prefer if you have experience working independently, sometimes we will wo... more inside

Hiya
I'm looking for the more mature person, around 25 years old.
I have smallholding with a variety of animals. I have spent many years travelling around, and working on the land doing everything from picking daffodils to looking after a herd of Hereford cows.
I have now settled down and have collected a variety of animals for myself! Ihave 8 goats, 2 milking at any given time, two suffolk cross ewes and two Jacobs. Assorted poultry, some pure breeds, some hybrids. Turkeys, Geese, Muscovy and Runner Duck crosses (The Borg). 2 pigs; Mangalitza (the woolly pig). Dogs, cat's.
I am growing and I use a variety of culinary and medicinal herbs for myself and the animals. I have young fruit trees, soft fruit area and lots of raised beds in progress. I go to the local shows with the goats.
I are aiming to be as self-sufficient as possible, and will expect helpers to chip in with everything! As I have recently relocated to this property I am still getting organised around the place. A... more inside

I am situated in Connemara about 30 miles West of Galway at the head of Kilkieren Bay. The area is very beautiful and surrounded by lakes and mountains. The sea is about 10 minutes walk away and there are beautiful beaches within 5 miles. It can be very wet and windy but wonderful too in fine weather. I only have about 1/2 acre of land but my object is self sufficency. I have a large vegetable garden that is still being developed. I am also a beekeeper with currently four hives. There are young fruit trees not bearing yet. I have some solar energy systems, mostly home made and installed which produces enough electricity to light a workshop and office. There is also solar water heating. As I am retired from the corporate world but very fit and healthy there is always a great deal to do with various projects on the go most days. I am also a woodworker and wood turner, making my own beehives and some for sale. In the summer I sell wooden items at a farmers market Anyone who is inter... more inside

We live in an old farmhouse in the beautiful countryside of West Cork, about a mile from a small village with good pubs! We are a lesbian family. Our two lovely girls are aged five and eight. The area where we live is very beaitiful, full of musicians, artists and writers. In terms of what we are hoping for, there are lots of things you can help us with! So a couple or pair of friends would be ideal. We prefer helpers with experience of helpx or childcare.
In terms of help, we are always looking for help in the garden, with the animals and vegetables, and in the house with housework and childcare. Home maintenance, possibly some painting etc around the house would be great. Plenty of more creative projects possible (but not necessary!) such as stone work, murals etc for those who are interested, and we value your input and ideas. Especially over the summer we would need some help to mind our children while we work, we often work from home so one of us would be near most of the ti... more inside

We are looking for someone to help us with our guest house and garden, such as greeting guests, tidying up, cleaning, and maybe some light gardening with Tom during the busy summer season. If you like ponies we have a lovely friendly pony in stable and would be delighted if you could help out. We offer free accommodation 7 nights a week in exchange for circa 20 hours of help per week. This is a small, friendly cottage located on the outskirts of Waterford City Centre in the Suir river valley. Our philosophy is to offer a home away from home to international guests. There are also 2 dogs, 2 cats and of course Socki the pony. Tom is an experienced tour guide with a great inside into travelling around Ireland. The cottge has a big garden and the locality is very scenic.

Looking for 1 or 2 helpers

2 weeks at the start of May and most of July

I am a 35 year old male, after years of traveling I've returned home and set up a small business. It is a coffee dock (a vintage caravan converted) from which snacks are sold too. I've been living at home with my mother to set the business up but she will be away for the first 2 weeks in May and the month of July. She is traveling around in a camper van to play Irish music at numerous festivals. It is for this reason I need help to look after the two dogs that will remain behind. They're both very well behaved and have great energy, they're great company and will love you lots for long walks. We live in an area that you have access to walks just out the front door, I will accompany you on a few walks to get you comfortable with the dogs and the area.

I run a coffee dock and have 2 dogs and cats that need minding during the day. One Collie dog and a white shepherd that require good exercise. The garden ... more inside
