We grow potatoes and vegetables, bake our own bread, pick berries for jam and juice, and sometimes go fishing in the great Vindelälven.

We need help this year mostly late august\september.

We are looking for someone (or maybe a couple) who would like to stay preferably for at least two weeks. We appreciate even if you like to stay longer, but would like to have a "trial week" then to make sure that we are all satisfied :).

Work may include smaller building and renovating jobs, taking care of the animals, harvesting and conserving baking bread etc and taking care of a child for a while.

Welcome to our family-run organic farm by the sea on the west coast of Sweden. We're looking for someone with skills building dry stone walls and carpentry. Other than this, we practice permaculture, with a small-scale vegetable patch, natural gardening and fauna-optimized forestry. Having several houses and 80 acres to tend to, along with some chickens, ducks, horses, dog and cats, there's always new things to learn here and fun things to do. We welcome anyone who is creative, attentive, who is willing to work hard and play hard, who is good with children (our small boys are great guides), and willing to put in six hours a day in exchange for great food and comfortable beds. We look forward to hearing from you!

Midsummer tent camp in Sweden!
We are a small ecoviillage community thats just started up. Only Three households so far. As we are building, planning and starting up there is a lot of things to do. Building projects, garden projects and some animals to take care of.
Beautiful location in the middle of Sweden. Deep forests to hike in a small lake in the village.
Im building a small house for my self and could use some help, so
my plan this is to set up a "summer tent camp" for two weeks during the summer.
If that sounds interesting ?

This is the deal.

From June 26 to 10th of July, the camp will be set up. There will be small tents for 2-3 people to sleep in, one bigger tent for cooking and eating. There will be campfire for nice evenings. No showers but close to the lake that will be warm and nice for swimming this time of the year. Outdoor dry toilet. Hopefully some people from different country's? We will be working on my house, take care of the animals, some garde... more inside

We are a family of four, (mum, dad, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son), living on a hobby farm in the woods in the south of Sweden. We speak Swedish and English. We would like to develop the farm but struggle with finding the time. There are a lot of projects running or possible to start up, depending of your skills and interest. We love animals and for the moment we have sheep, hens, rabbits and dogs, but are thinking about getting ducks and turkeys. We also have bees and produce honey. In a big pond we have crayfish and farmed fish. We are self-sufficient in meat and wish that we could be better on producing vegetables.

Possible work is painting outdoors, building hen house, dog house, rabbit house, a roof over a parking space, a storage room and a room for slaugher. Gardening, planting, make a growing area for vegetables, help with houshold, and so on. It is possible to learn how to work in the woods, go hunting, fishing and pick berries and mushrooms. We breed shetland s... more inside

I, on a complete whim, went out and bought a Hurley 22 yesterday (May 7th). An ocean worthy sailing boat from 1978 built in Plymouth!
She's lovely but quite "minimal" interior wise. It would be interesting and fun to see what kind of help I could get to not only spruce her up on the inside but on the outside too. Any suggestions are welcome!

I suppose the projects would range from sewing up some pretty curtains and matching pillow cases to building a decent electrical solution, to applying varnish to the wood details. Maybe just coming out for a weekend and giving all the ins and outs a good clean would be your jive too, and it would definitely be most appreciated.

Like I said, any suggestions welcome!
