We are two middle aged women who live on a 7 acre property 4 kilometres from Bridgetown in the South West of Western Australia. We have 150+ roses, many fruit trees, grape vines and olive trees. We grow most of our vegetables.
We find there are some jobs too heavy for us and like the idea of having a young man to assist with those jobs.
Tasks may include mowing, brush cutting, hedging, pruning, mulching, general gardening and painting.
We would prefer a helper familiar with using tools like a chainsaw, brushcutter and hedger.
We provide a separate guest suite and meals in return for 4.5 hours work a day. We offer stays of one week.
There is a daily bus to Bridgetown. We are happy to pick you up from town.
Working with us is not classified as 'a specified field or industry' for the purposes of a Second Working Holiday Visa and, therefore, does not count towards your 3 months of working 'in a specified field or industry in a designated area of regional Australia'.

Our farm is in the South West of Western Australia. We are a short drive from Boyup Brook and Bridgetown and a couple of hours from Albany and Bunbury. We have a large house with plenty of room for one or two people. The property includes a variety of animals including alpacas, sheep and chickens. There are plenty of bushwalks, dams to swim or canoe in and bike tracks through a tree forest which adjoins the property.
We require helper/s to assist with housework, cooking, vineyard work, gardening and other work such as painting. If you are handy outside that would be an advantage.
Workers average four hours work a day or 24 hours a week in exchange for meals, own room and bathroom.

Porongurup is a beautiful National Park and wine region 45 minutes north of Albany. The Stirling Range (national park) is nearby. Albany has spectacular wild coastline and beaches. I enjoy bushwalking, swimming, canoeing, and am happy to do these activities with you. There are short treks up the local mountains with views over the ocean. There is a lot of starlight here. There are wildflowers in springtime. The weather is temperate, with amazing thunderstorms and warm, sunny weather. If the coast is a bit too hot for you, Porongurup is perfect. I may not always have time to show you around, but you will enjoy the area's natural beauty.

You will be staying at our family home. My mother and I live in a small, but comfortable house, with beautiful kitchen, and bathroom. There is a wood fireplace.

Your accomodation is a separate house which is small and comfortable, with your own kitchen and bathroom and wood fire. You will have privacy, and space. You are welcome to come in th... more inside

Private home with rooms let for bed and breakfast accommodation in the south west. Small orchard, chickens donkeys on the property. Most days we also see kangaroos on the property. We're within walking distance of town. Our main requirement is landscaping, making compost, pruning, perhaps building a gabion wall and some housework for 5 hours per day in exchange for accommodation in the house with meals. We would be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has had experience building rock walls, though this is not essential. We have had Helepexers build a timber deck and we plan to incorporate a water feature in it. We have set up an aquaponics system. We enjoy socialising with our guests and our helpers.
