I am an individual and I live on a small holding. I am looking for help to create an organic garden and some building work. I am located near to Cork City (15 kms) and I am on a bus route. The house is on the side of a river. The Garden is partially existing at the moment. I want help in creating the physical requirements now. This means building small walls and some sheds. In the future, I also want to build a pontoon in the river to fish from and tie a boat up. Carpentry Plumbing or Building skills would be really useful. An ability to cook would also be helpful but not essential. I would like help five days a week, you would take your days off during the week because I am available at the weekends. The house has internet and there is also a bike available. You should be able to work on your own initiative, work on your own when I am at work, be flexible, easy going good humoured and willing to engage in conversation. You must like dogs and cats. If you smoke that's okay as long a... more inside

We are a young family of 4. Joey and I have two young girls, Emi is 4 years old and Lily is 2. We are looking for some help with minding the girls and for light house cleaning as we are returning to full-time work. If you love kids and are patient and are able to work you are very welcome to meet us.

We live in an excellent tree filled area in Dublin City, with excellent transportation links for a 15/20 minute bus trip to Dublin City Centre. We are 1 kilometer from Dublin City University, 1 kilometer from a large shopping center, 2 kilometers from Irelands National Botanical Gardens. You would have your own private single room and have your own bathroom. The girls love to do crafts, love parks and playgrounds, and dancing and singing, and love baking too! :)

We are a very musical house and have lots of musical instruments and toys to enjoy. We also enjoy attending cultural events like music concerts/festivals, cinema, museums/galleries, travelling, and the beautiful nature Ir... more inside

Growing organically since 1981 we are one of the first organic farms in the country, nestled in the Wicklow hills we have sites of archaeological significance close by, we hope you can find your way to us at some point!

On our farm you can find horses, pigs and chickens, fish and forestry, all the root vegetables, some fruit bushes and even a few birds and bees! Our work is mostly in the horticultural end but we have some projects for ecological reasons - renewable energy and recycling materials!

I would like to offer accomodation for some help with fixing up my watersports centre and house adjoining it for the coming season. There's a Wide variety of jobs which you could help me with from; painting, sanding, repairs to wet-suits, gardening, Boat repairs, maintenance work, office work, advertising, helping with setting up sports activities/groups and much more. Hopefully you would get out to try some sailing, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, rock climbing yourself if you wished to do so. (average working time per day: 6 hours).

The house is on the beach front or Stand Line in Kilkee, Co.Clare, Ireland. I have a spare double room and a single room available (so can sleep up to 3 people). Hi, I am looking for one or two people, preferably a couple, to stay in my house in the centre of Drogheda (situated 40mins from dublin) for one or two weeks and help with setting up a vegetable garden (some experience would be great, especially with repairing a small stone wall) and also some painting, sanding etc. indoors. In exchange I can offer accommodation (one comfortable double bedroom available for helpers so suitable for single person or preferably a couple), home cooked meals (vegetarian or vegan welcome also), and I am happy to help you see all the sights the Boyne Valley has to offer during your stay. I would hope for about 15-20 hours work a week.

Thanks,

Roisin

***This position is now closed. Many thanks to our many helpers who made such a difference to life on the farm over the years!***

This is an old fashioned cattle farm (21 at the moment), 16 hectares of fields with no machinery, 4 chickens and a vegetable garden. The farmer, Tom, is 79 years old, has a bad leg and needs assistance to run the farm. I'm the other permanent resident and I take care of his personal needs and of the housework.

Duties are primarily farm work, so we need a generous soul willing to do the work an old man or a woman find more difficult. Somebody who is strong enough to do everything by hand, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Dealing with the cattle is the first responsability. General maintenance to be done like cutting briars and gorse, gathering and cutting firewood, fixing dry walls, gardening, drainage, repairing tools etc... Basically keeping the place tidy and running smoothly. Experience with cattle prefered. I can show you every... more inside

I have a few vegetables growing and plan on growing more and planting trees. I am an artist. My place has lots of projects going on to make it better for people coming to stay. Any guest must like animals. I am flexible as to arrangements for guests. There are a lot of different things that need doing here, different skills are good for different projects and I can also offer English language lessons, horse riding/driving or facilities for art. I live near a beautiful village, the sea and mountains. It is very quiet here.

It is approximately a one hour bus ride from the nearest railway station and airport and is situated on the world famous Ring Of Kerry tourist route
The house is a three bedroom modern built semi detached residence in the center of town, all bedrooms are ensuite with shower, toilet and wash basin with a shared open plan living and kitchen area on the ground floor
At present the house is in need of a little bit of TLC with regards to tiling work in the bathrooms, interior painting throughout and exterior decoration.
