We have a large granite house, with extensive formal gardens, small holding and holiday let property on site. We require help maintaing the gardens and doing some small general maintainance jobs around the house. Most of the work is chopping back and pruning the shrubs to maintain access through the hidden walk ways. Some small scale building work is available if that suits the volunteer. Accomodation is a double aspect double bedroom with views across the garden towards the hills behind and also towards the church and village (shop, pub, post office, garage)that is a quarter of a mile away. The family sits down to eat a healthy, hearty meal at six o'clock each day which the volunteer will be invited to join.We have wifi access.

i own and live in an amazing tudor 4 bedroomed detached stone house in two acres of it's own land. it is in a stunningly beautiful setting, surrounded by land of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). I have a bit of work to get the house ready for holiday letting, most of the work i am going to have to pay for but it would be great to have a practical considerate man around to help with stuff. The skills that would be most helpful would be: chainsawing, carpentary, ground clearence, dry stone walling. I am a good cook, vegan (but can cook with meat and dairy if preferred) and very healthy. the house is peaceful and the garden and grounds beautiful. I also used to teach English as a foreign language (3 years) and am always happy to help people with their English if they would like.
