We are about to plant a small (13mX5M ) food forest/butterfly and bee garden. We need to remove the grass. Lay down sheet mulch to stop weeds. Set up reticulated watering. And then plant. We would love some help. We supply sunblock, gloves and gumboots if needed.

Good internet. Accommodation is queen size bed in spare room, or it splits into 2 single beds also. And sometimes in separate guest cottage.
Lots of meat but also very happy to cook vegetarian.

After years of traveling we fell in love with an ex-dairy farm in Kangaroo Valley. The property is beautiful but needs lots of fixing up. We have cows, sheep and chickens. Non-smokers please.

7 minutes from Kangaroo Valley village
20 minutes to Berry
25 minutes to Seven Mile Beach.

'Galafrey' is an island oasis in a sea of trees. One of the aims of this beautiful place on the edge of Sacred Gulaga Mountain is to demonstrate to others how we can live sustainably and in harmony with the environment, by implementing Permaculture principles and ethics as well as Holistic Management practices. The proof is in the pudding, we eat around 90% of our own organic produce and more importantly we have time to enjoy a rich and varied life.

While chickens work tirelessly in 'Chook Tractors' and 'Food Cells" weeding, mowing, plowing, fertilizing and controlling pests such as fruit fly, we might be horse riding, spearfishing, bushwalking, surfing, playing table tennis or enjoying some home grown pig on the spit with a glass or two of home brew beer.

Come and see how the other half live. Help us set up more 'Food Cells',build with earth, straw and forest timbers, feed our biogas digester, harvest honey from one of our Kenyan top bar bee hives or learn some forest manage... more inside

We're looking for a couple to help us to do some garden work and land clearance on 8 and 9 November. The work will involve dragging branches, moving logs into a pile, raking, leaf blowing and possibly some lighter tasks around the house.

The room has an ensuite and a private veranda area but just as a warning, the house is being prepared for sale so all is a bit hectic at the moment!

We'd like 4 hours work done per person for the 2 days and will offer a meal and accommodation in exchange for this. Please get in touch if you're interested. Thank you!

Hi,

I have a beautiful, unique 5 acre property 15 kilometres from Nimbin and am looking for people to help with weeding, general garden maintenance, household chores or cooking. Landscaping skills would be wonderful! We have a lot of fruit trees and a vegetable garden as well as worm farms and Graeme loves making compost and is happy to share his knowledge.
We have a comfy little cabin with fridge, microwave, jug, toaster and electric frypan Suitable for 1 or 2 people and an outside toilet and shower. We cater for meat-eaters and vegetarians and provide scrumptious meals. Your own transport would be preferble but we could pick you up from NImbin or The Channon if necessary.

We are a friendly, happy couple with 2 dogs and we love meeting travellers and spending time chatting over a glass of wine or whatever by the campfire at night! Smoking outdoors is ok.
WIFI available.
If you read our review from the last guest - he said staying here was "like a holiday!"

Spring is such a beautiful time to visit Jervis Bay (3 hours south of Sydney). The days are sunny, nights cool and the crowds have not arrived. Spring also brings a lot of work for a home gardener. We are a family living on a beautiful bush block, and we are looking for people who can help with garden tasks like weeding, planting, building gardens and mulching. We have a lot of fruit trees, chooks and two friendly dogs. We have a separate self contained living space for your private use.
