The farm is part of an abandoned village and this summer we are restoring the roof of the main house. This will also be the first year for the vegetable garden, so there will be lots of "fun". I need assistance with both the roof and the general farm work.

It is still quite primitive and you will be sleeping in the tent. We are off-grid, and have our own water from the mountain.
Languages: English, Dutch, Spanish (Not very good.)

Hello,

We are a Swiss family leaving in troglodytes dwellings in Andalucia, Granada, Baza. We have 7 dogs, 12 cats and ... 4 hens !!

We have bought our property (20'000m2) February 2012. They are different caves houses renewed and some not: A big potential !

Our project is first to renew the family livable rooms. Then to make one or two "cuevas" for renting holidays ... And why not a little zoo (There is not one around).
Also, we would like to renew all the property to be autonomous and ecological (Solar, wind turbine, ...).

We need help for different works of renovation inside (Dig rooms and furniture "cuevas", painting, ...) and outside (Clean the ground, enclose it, ...).

The province is offering splendid landscape and many activities are possible (Paragliding, hike, natural warm bath, ...).
We are at 1h30 of the beach and 1h30 of the Sierra Nevada where you can ski.

If you are interested, you can willingly take contact with us. We will be happy to know you ... more inside

Hi my name is Chris and my partner is Joanna.
(To save you time reading through we are no need of volunteers untill March )
We live in the countryside about 4 miles from the beautiful town of Vejer de la Frontera and the same distance from some great beaches. ( We have two grown up children who occasionally visit )
I have been a teacher, truck driver and qualified as a plumber, and Joanna been a teacher, translator and led various courses and written a book.
We are both into personal development (Buddhismand Shamanism),sustainable living, permaculture, growing veg and enjoying life. I play the guitar, I'm sort of an old folky really but recently joined a group singing Kirtan Om. I go jogging and go walking most weekends unless it is the summer, then it is the beach yeah yeah!
We enjoy good food ;-] having fun and working in the garden as much as we can. We are mostly vegetarian but we would be more than happy to adapt to any vegan or raw food volunteers.
Before sending an emai... more inside

My name is Paul. I moved to Asturias in February 2013 after holidaying and travelling around the area a couple of times years before. The beauty of Asturias always blows me away and my first two years here have gone like a flash. If you like the great outdoors, this is the place.

I have a small house and a small straw bale cabin, both of which are livable though fairly basic (I do have hot water, shower and electricity, though they are all somewhat temperamental!).

There's roughly an acre of land which is mostly orchard. there is loads to be done both indoors and out, such as re-wiring, plumbing, full house renovation and decorating, constructing a solar hot water system, preparing the land for vegetables and herbs etc (digging, planting and tending), fencing, building a chicken coop/run, gardening, landscaping and no doubt a whole host of other jobs. I also want to construct a yoga platform as my plan is to run yoga holidays in the future. For now the plan is to get the pla... more inside

Small farm with horses in lovely country, plus large area of mountain land where I have set up a herd of wild horses for study purposes.
I give courses on horse training and behaviour, which normally involve travelling.

I need help:

a) land maintenance and vegetable garden; fence maintenance, walls etc on the mountain land;
b) observation of wild herd (instruction given)
c) accompanying me to courses or
d) maintaining the fort while I am away.

Anybody with computer skills (Mac) especially welcome, also driver's licence.

Will try to do a prettier and fuller announcement but right now am desperately busy due to projected helper not turning up at last minute (not from HelpX)

We are a family of two people, a mother and a son (11 years old). We also have a dog, a cat, chickens and fish. We live a small village in an old stone house with a garden and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The village is very small, only two families live here. We are however, just two kilometres from a bigger village, Santa Coloma de Queralt, where you can find all services; bars, cafes, a few restaurants, library, supermarkets, a bookshop, health centre and a bus service to Barcelona or Tarragona. It takes an hour and a half by bus to Barcelona. We are looking for a volunteer who could help us about four hours a day, helping out around the house, painting, gardening, walking the dog and teaching us english. We offer a private double bedroom with a bathroom and a small living room on the second floor of our house, good food, good company, a chance to learn Spanish or Catalan. The volunteer can use one of our bicycles while they are here and they can have a day and... more inside

Hello and Hola! We are a german family, Rafael and Savitri with 3 children, Felina 11 years old, Fianna 9 years old and Noah will be in december 2 year old. We are living on la palma, the canary islands.
We bought 3 years ago a 5000 qm avocado-finca in Puntagorda, La Palma, canary islands. Since 3 years we build a house, bought 2 yurts from Kirkistan and plant fruit-trees, flowers and an organic-garden. Everything is young, small and it has to grow up. We are at the beginning...
We all are looking forward to welcome you to our organic farm. You can enjoy it and help us to grow it up! That means, we welcome help in gardening, around the house and maybe with the children - if it is ok for both sides. We need just one person. You can use our nice caravan which is ~30m far from the main house, so that you have a little private zone.
