We have beautiful (usually)green property on acres situated on two farms. We provide farmstay accommodation usually for overseas guests. Have a struggling organic veggie garden because it is presently very hot in Victoria. We also have cattle, some seasonal sheep, peacocks, turkeys, emus, chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, a couple of horses (l draft),3 cats, (One goes visiting)and one kelpie farm dog which has not got enough work. There are interesting sheds. There is a large lawn which constantly needs mowing with the large mower and a pretty cool garden with interesting bits around the place.

Hi, my name is Robert and I am a manager of a small country farm. This year we are also rendering a straw bale house, creating gardens, blue stone pathings, chicken pens and general farm work on a cattle farm. We require strong energetic labours who require minimum supervision. We are situated about 1.5 hours from Melbourne, 25 minutes from the city of Geelong and 5 minutes from coastal towns. It is a seasonal touristy area with surf beachers and fishing with good weather between October and May. We produce our own beef and organic fruit and veggies. Positions vacant now. We are a family who own a small hobby farm in the beautiful rainforest Otway Ranges in South West Victoria.

The property has a river which you can fish in, a swimming hole, and there are some great walking/riding tracks around the area. We are a five minute drive away from a small general store, and twenty minutes drive away from Colac, a large country town - with cinemas, restaurants etc.
The Great Ocean Road is about 45 mins drive away, with places such as Apollo Bay, and the 12 Apostles. Lorne is less than an hour away.

On the property is a shell of a beautiful old mud brick house, which with the help of volunteers, and a family of carpenters, electricians and plumbers, we hope to turn into a family home.

We have a carpenter happy to run the job, we just need some help to make it happen! Jobs will include helping build the house if your abilities lie in that area, weeding and poisoning, mowing and general farm duties. Those with previous labouring/building experience w... more inside

Please note that the very hot January weather has made us realise that our property is not adequately protected from bush fires during summer. So therefore we have decided to not accommodate helpers until autumn, say from mid March onwards.

Our is a semi rural property about 50 minutes drive north of Melbourne CBD or little over 1 hour by train.
Spacious home. Ornamental garden amid natural bush, with a developing organic vegetable garden.
We also have 8 chickens and a dog. Car may be needed. The closest general store is 2 kilometres away ie. about 20 minutes walk. A small township is about 3 and a half kilometres. Lovely area.

We, the owners are active, semi retired couple in early 60's. My husband is a builder by trade, and I'm a horticulturalist and part time language teacher with a growing passion for environmental issues. We would envisage helpers to mainly assist with developing the vegetable and food growing aspects of our property. Helpers would have a good siz... more inside

Hi! We're a little family who live on a small hobby farm. We have sheep, ducks, chickens & bees. We have 2 cats. We have veges and fruit and nut trees. We do things like preserving food, making cordial and jam, drying herbs.

In exchange for accommodation and 3 meals a day, we'd like help around the house for 5 hours a day. This could include helping in the gardens: weeding, mowing, whipper snipping, harvesting, netting fruit trees or pruning. We have some larger projects like setting up structures, building a garden shed, setting up fencing. We have some building projects like building shelving for the house and demolishing features outside we no longer need.

We could use help in the kitchen with meal preparation, preserving what we harvest by making jam, drying, bottling or making cordial.

Finally we can always use help cleaning around the house e.g. washing windows, sweeping, and general household chores.

We have a guest room with a double bed and it's own ... more inside

Property is situated in National Park by lake and ocean. Moved here few months ago and need help around bush garden to clear from dry leaves and branches in bush fire prevention. Bit of digging and planting will be involved with huge appreciation. Also need help around the house with interior designing and general handy household jobs.
I live by myself with a dog and lots of wildlife creatures so it's important the person must be an animal lover. We're all here extremely ECO friendly living happy and thankful for every coming day.
I'm originally from Warsaw-Poland living in Australia for 32yrs.
This is my short story.
Would love to hear from You and maybe very soon have "a cuppa" (Aussie term for cup of tea/coffee)on my balcony overlooking the surrounding waters and wildlife.
Regards, Eva

This is a retreat space IN THE CITY NOT IN THE BUSH. A walking labyrinth, accommodation, a handmade space in which to plant the seeds of your own handmade life.

Currently we are in finish the BLITZ MODE - a funky workshop space and garden around the labyrinth are close to complete.

In November I'm looking for a great CARPENTER and HARD LANDSCAPING skills for about a week of work each.

For the CARPENTER there are: shelves to cut and fit, attach doors to frames, build a cupboard, build box seats, hang a mirror that sort of thing.

The HARD LANDSCAPING includes:
level paths, lay crazy pavers, mortar bricks, plant some trees, that sort of thing.

This is all in preparation for SUMMER SOLSTICE. It's an amazing time - the new labyrinth has been laid and you'll be part of creating a legacy. That's sort of nice.
HOPE TO READ FROM YOU! thanks, Tina
