We live in the most stunning area of west cornwall, near the most wild and beautiful beaches and the beautiful little fishing village of mousehole. We have 6 acres of land about 2miles inland. This consists of 2 woodland areas and 3 fields and lots of out buildings. Mike and i are artists, mike is a metal work sculptor and i am a textile artist. We have Lola Rose our gorgeous daughter who is 3 and mostly found in the chick house, and another due any minute!! A dog George who is so laid back and loves fuss and 12 mad chickens, with more about to be hatched.
Other artists work from the farm too.
We are consumed by art and really need help managing and loving the land, so any level of experience or inexperience would be appreciated. There are also opportunities to work on maintaining the outbuildings and some carpentary jobs. The accomodation would be a 4 berth caravan in one of the fields we prefer you to be independent with cooking and providing food in exchange for about 20 hou... more inside

We live on the edge of a small village, a few miles from the east coast resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness. We have a polytunnel growing the usual suspects-toms, peppers, cucumbers etc and a system of raised beds outside. We have a small flock of hens and a small flock of sheep (think lawnmowers onlegs not mint sauce)We are vegetarians but will buy free range chicken from the farm next door for meat eaters. We do not use chemicals or pesticides and for the last 5 years have been reclaiming neglected land still lots to do. 3 years ago we planted an orchard first crop of fruit this year and made a fruit cage from an old poly tunnel frame. We recycle and reuse where possible. Looks like Spring might be nearly here at last so lots of catching up to do - beds to dig and weed, fences to repair, and seedlings to pot on.

We are looking for a couple to help us with gardening (mostly dull stuff like weeding and pruning) and ocassional dog sitting until the end of September.

We live in a rural location with the nearest transport link about a mile away. We both work full-time and therefore can't offer the traditional helpx 'homestay' extended family-type experience. One person would get very bored and lonely here and that is why we are ideally suited for a couple who are a bit more self sufficient!

We provide helpers with a small cottage to live in and a budget so you can buy and prepare your own food. The cottage is separate from our house but within the grounds and has its own garden.

We have a large kitchen garden, a rose garden (in need of love and attention), a small newly planted woodland and formal gardens. We have a collection of lovely rare breed chickens who are free to wander anywhere they want.

No smokers please.

A CARAVAN AMONG STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOR A BIT OF HELP!

WHO ARE WE?
Our names are Andrew and Gill and we have been growers since the 70s. At the moment Andrew grows strawberries, runner beans, calabrese, cauliflowers and cabbage and we try to sell them locally as much as possible. I teach English on and off. Our daughter Natalie is working on the farm for the summer until she starts teaching again.

WHAT 'WORK' DO YOU DO?
We have staff to do most of the farm work but we would ask you to help for up to 10 hours a week

in the garden doing things like cutting the grass, strimming the hedge etc

and things in the house like window washing and vacuuming

WHEN DO YOU 'WORK'?
It could be morning or afternoon depending on which suits you best and we might even let you have a few strawberries!

WHERE IS IT?
The farm is in a small village called Lindsey right in the middle of the Suffolk countryside. It has a pub and the shops are a few minutes away by car. Hadleigh is the n... more inside
