Hello, we're Clive & Shena!

In the heart of the beautiful Coromandel bush ~ Our riverside garden with numerous swimming holes is home to many native birds - we hear kiwi most nights!
Neighbouring national forest and next door to the Rapaura Watergardens, down the road from the Square Kauri, countless bush walks, and only minutes from the pohutukawa coast. Continue on our road to Hot water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Whitianga etc.

Looking for help with gardening, painting and general outdoor work.

For four hours work we will exchange a comfortable, private, studio, self-contained with bathroom.
Limited Wifi available, and one healthy evening meal a day ~ friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

You'll need to be independent, and have your own transport as we are a fairly remote location.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Our land is nestled in a subtropical coastal valley, 30 minutes north of Colville Store, with the driveway and front paddock directly off the beach front at Sandy Bay, Port Charles. Self reliant people with a keen willingness to contribute to on-going projects are welcomed.

I am a researcher, writer and poet, my other daily activities include gardening and household duties. I am particularly looking for carpentry and maintenance assistance.

Because of the nature of my own work, I can only offer short term periods of hosting to suitable travelers.

This house and surrounding area has a view looking out toward Great Barrier Island and over the valley, which is part bush, part orchard and farmland with a friendly heresford herd and a few dairy cows.

We live just up in the hills above the centre of Thames, which is an easy short walk into town. Our house was originally built in the Art Deco style in the 1940's but has been moderised. The house sits in private and beautiful grounds (potentially much tidier) which are bounded by a pretty stream along one side. We are part time teachers, and artists specialising in ceramics and painting and have our own workshop on site.
At present we need help to get the garden in order, to complete minor renovations on the house. We are vegetarian and expect that our helpers respect this and eat as we do while at our house. This a non smoking household. We would like 4 hours of help a day for every 5 out of 6 days or pro-rata for shorter or longer stays; but this is flexible, in return for 3 meals a day and a comfortable bed with bedding. We can accommodate a single person.

Lots of outdoors activities to do on the Coromandel, many require a car ride. Check out Coromandel on the internet.1 a... more inside

We are situated on a river boundary, 10 mins walk from a beautiful sandy beach. 17kms north of Coromandel township. Need some help with property maintenance, gardening, weeding and housework.
Lovely property to stay on. Huge home with totally separate self-contained unit also have small sleepout. As the property is not on a bus route, I prefer people with their own vehicle. Self sufficient people . :)

Hi there,
We own a small farm with a few dry stock, free range chickens and ducks and we grow a lot of fruit e.g. oranges, mandarins and plums as well as our own vegetables. We are almost self sufficient and try to grow our food as organically as possible. There is always heaps to do. We are looking for help mainly with the household and cooking and some assistance with garden work. We offer comfortable accommodation and good food for some hours of work. Our helpers should like animals, be not too young and stay about a week. We can pick up from Thames or Paeroa bus station if needed. We are located 1 hour from the most beautiful beaches and close to great activities such as the Karangahake Gorge and the Pinnacles.
Please contact us for further details.
(The small house on the picture is the sleep out.)

I live on a beautiful property on the side of a mountain overlooking the sea adjacent to Mana Retreat Centre[see mana retreat.com] south of Coromandel town near Manaia. My house is just below the beautiful Tara Sanctuary.

I am a teacher and therapist. You can see something about me at www.theradiantbody.com. I have very basic french and spanish and am always interested in improving those languages or helping Spanish or French speakers with English.

I prefer mature, independent longer term helpex volunteers who enjoy physical work. primary tasks are gardening, lawn mowing, looking after trees and grounds, house and pool cleaning.
Usually I don't take anyone for less than 4 weeks but at times I have a short project so it is ok to ask even if you have less time to come.

Help needed with some gardening work in a large garden in the bush just out of Whitianga. It is a ten minute walk from the end of the driveway to the property. It is quite rustic and would suit mature helpers who are capable of working independently. There is no phone signal and limited electricity so it would suit someone who wants to connect with nature and take retreat from technology. This is a very quiet place and would suit someone who loves gardening, spirituality and enjoys vegetarian cooking. :))

Our farm is 2 hrs south of Auckland by car and 1.3 hrs north of Tauranga and is sits on a Peninsula between Onemana and Whangamata, fringed by virtually untouched white sandy beaches, 130 acres breeding mainly Scottish Highland and Friesian dairy cattle. For the Aquarian the region is a Mecca for surfers, excellent scuba diving, fishing etc. For the outdoor explorers numerous beach and bush walks in the region.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Enjoy sharing stories and experiences. In return for your ‘willing’ :) contribution of 4-5 hours of generally light work which varies from working out on the farm with the animals, gardening, pruning to occasional domestic chores in wet weather. I provide breakfast and lunch materials which you prepare yourselves, evening meals we share together. The accommodation is independent, private and is very warm and cosy with great views. There is good internet, washing machine and other creature comforts There are books, DVD’s, ping pong, great walks, priv... more inside
