Hi helpers We live on a hill over-looking the Wairoa river, 15 minutes from Tauranga. We enjoy having people to stay, and at the moment, there is plenty of work to do here. So if you are keen to see a bit of country life, come and join us. While we appreciate the help, we also enjoy new company and learning about your culture. We have a 34 hectare farm, with flower block, and large vegetable garden. We have sheep, cattle, calves and two goats. we grow some flowers for export which need weeding and pruning at this time of year. As we are a small place , we prefer having one person at a time. It may involve working a bit on your own, but we always get together at meal times, including morning and afternoon teas, so you wont go hungry. Our Jobs include weeding, spraying, general maintenance and some stock work. We are flexible with the hours you can work, but require a minimum of four hours work each day in return for food and accommodation. Having your own transport would be ha... more inside

We are Bee Keepers in the Kaimai Rangers with 2 daughters aged 18 & 22 yrs. We live in a loghouse on our 1 hectare property, with Jody's parents 150 hectare sheep, beef & deer farm around us which borders on the Kaimai - Mamaku Forest park.
We have a few pets - A Mareema Sheep dog & a Border Collie. Jody is originally a Signwriter but is now fulltime beekeeping. We are a pretty easygoing family who are looking for someone who is a keen to help out mainly with honey extraction,or possibly helping with our young team of beekeepers, depending on the time of year?
Having your own vehicle will be an advantage as we live half an hours drive from a town.
Accommadation is in our shared flat beside our house.
Unfortunelty unless you have beekeeping experience our placement will not be suitable. Our season is from August until April depending on the weather.

I live at Lake Rotoiti and am renovating 2 cabins. They have been gutted and the next stage is to insulate and line the inside. Until this is completed I am living in my caravans. One is for my office, one is where we cook and shower and the third is for helpers and guests.

I am looking for someone who has building skills.

I have 2 dogs, Myrtle and Maru . I am pretty easy going and cook excellent kai. I am a Maori Spiritual Warrior and as such work in the Light of Io, in harmony and balance. Mauri ora!

Hello,
I have a small lifestyle block in rural Opotiki. We are currently in need of some help with out door work such as, helping to build/ dig gardens, planting shrubs, trees etc. General tidying up outside, weed control. Any help would be much appreciated. I have 2 sons aged 29 and 19 living here with me. We are very close to the beach, bush and the Motu Trails for bike riding. We are a fun family with a good sense of humor. In exchange for a few hours of work per day we can offer you 3 meals per day, free wifi, a comfy bed and a few laughs.
Can pick up from the bus stop if required as well. We may even be able to help you find work in the kiwifruit industry this summer too.
Cheers,Kathie

We have a lovely property by the beach in Pahoia (halfway between Katikati and Tauranga). This is an ideal place to spend some time and use as a base for sightseeing in the Bay of Plenty. You could even complete a restoration of a vehicle that you purchase in NZ into a small mobile home for seeing the country. (as several of my helpers have done in the past)

Accommodation is Free of Charge in return for Helping but PLEASE bring your own FOOD (Groceries) AND A PAIR OF GARDEN GLOVES We often have vegetables and fruit to share.

We offer a cabin with Queen bed, bedding available (photo attached) and behind is a private small camp kitchen with gas cooker, BBQ, Power. This self contained area is usually for couples wanting privacy otherwise you can use the Point Kitchen as shown in Photo.( We also have a vehicle that has been made into a bedroom for a 3rd person or 2 to 3 children.
There is a Flushing Toilet and we light the fire in the afternoons to heat the water for showe... more inside

We would love some help in the garden and nursery!

We are a little family run plant nursery, husband and wife team, and our three daughters have just moved out of home...(Sometimes!) We live in an old villa on an avocado orchard and have a couple of gardening projects we would love help with!

We would be looking for a couple to help with gardening or plant nursery projects. In exchange for four hours work a day, or full day's work and next day off!

We offer separate accommodation with double bed, DVD player, ensuite, and three meals a day.
Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements?

We really enjoy showing people around the beautiful Bay of Plenty and if transport is a difficulty, we can pick up from Tauranga?

We are Iyengar yoga practitioners and teachers living in the forest and cultivating a lot of our food. We welcome folks staying and taking classes and working for board and teaching. We are not vegetarians but cater for them. We run a yoga school in Rotorua City teaching detail self transformation and deep intense body work, breath work and meditation. Having been a Woofer host for 30 years I have seen all types of helpers and what works best here is when folks come open to learning, working, and practicing yoga and meditation as a dedicated member of society and wanting to touch a contemplative linage method to understand consciousness and motivation and transcendental wisdom. Currently gardening harvesting and firewood are ongoing work.
