Hi!
My Wife and I live on a 1450 acre dairy farm in the South Wairarapa 10 minutes from Martinborough (a wine village), Greytown and Featherston. We have 4 children: 1 working in London, 1 working in Auckland and 2 at university in Christchurch. Our youngest will be living at home over summer as well!

We are looking for help getting ready for the wedding of our eldest daughter in March next year 2018. No skill needed, the work would be mainly painting, gardening and general tidying etc.
We look forward to meeting new people and new cultures. My Wife, originally from England, always enjoys meeting people from Europe. In the past we have hosted young farmers from Scotland, as well homestay students from Japan and a French traveller lived with us for three weeks - great fun! Wairarapa is our beautiful home and we have many recommendations of things to do in the area (wine tasting, cycling through the vineyards, walks and cafes/shops) so that you can experience the best of our hom... more inside

Childcare, house help, and looking after horses

We have a new baby due in January 2018 and weíre looking for an extra pair of hands to help entertain our two year old son as well as provide general help around the house and with the horses. The horse work would involve grooming, mucking out, and spending time with the foal we have due in November. There may be some additional yard work outside but we can tailor the work to your skills. The most important thing is having an extra pair of hands with the children and house during this busy time. .

You will need to have good English.

We are a great place to be if you're looking to have some quiet time in the country. The closest town is 20km away and we donít often go there so itís recommended you have your own car.

We do expect you to use initiative and put some effort into the help here. Must love animals! No smokers please.

About us: We are a young couple who've worked hard to buy and develop an 18 acre lifestyle bloc... more inside

November 2017....when you come here you will get to see some of the most beautiful parts of NZ that you will never see on a bus! Its Spring time and the garden and farm are really busy. We have lots of old buildings which have odd jobs and a big garden. In our garden we use a lot of big tools and will teach you those things if you're strong. Help around the house always great too - we have 2 kids at home (9 and 11). We can just find something to suit. Main thing we like is some energy and great attitude. You'll also learn to play cricket here!
Better if you eat meat while staying with us because we are a sheep farm! Our community here is great, some guests have stayed with our neighbours too.
Its really beautiful here and lots of space to go running or walking. Baby lambs around to play with as well. Please get in touch, keen for someone really soon.

****Dates available - 25th January Onwards*

We are the 'O'Shea' family. We are a family of 4, myself, my daughter Riley (9yrs), my son Wolfe (6yrs)and my partner 'Flash'. Both children are at school. We like to share our home with travellers in exchange for some help around our lifestyle block. We would like someone to help with a mixture of activities - gardening, house work, child care, animal care, land maintenance depending on the need and time of year! Kia ora, we are Katy, River, Karen and Barry.

We have a 3 acre plot with chickens, food gardens and a home yoga studio. We host on air B&B and run yoga classes and retreats for locals and travelers.

We are looking for help with a variety of tasks for a one or two week period. Firstly, you must love kids, as my 4 year old will take a big interest in you and will probably want to hang out with you a lot. There's painting work, weeding, gardening, cleaning and possibly some cooking. Maybe some other random tasks, best to be open to anything.

If you have social media marketing, website development or any other creative skills, such as the ability to make posters or paint signs, you would definitely be valued, but those skills are not necessary.

The work is about 5 hours a day, it would be very variable and flexible as a lot of it is weather dependent.

Your accommodation is a semi-self contained house bus with a queen size bed. We can host a single person or a couple (th... more inside

The HelpX guest is welcomed into a quiet, pastoral smallfarm, with a small flock of pet sheep, four Golden Retrievers, a cat, and me. The fresh, clean air is filled with birdsong all year, and frogs and butterflies abound in season. No animals are killed on this farmlet
I am as organic as I can, no sprays, etc., on food, but I deal with my Callie thistles and gorse as required.Views are breathtaking.

Vegans and vegetarians are also welcome.

The Helper would be required for about one week (flexible). You will have your own room, with tiny TV, and limited internet access. Own transport preferred, but I can pick you up from Palmerston North if required. Good food is a priority. Non-smoker, no drugs.
You will be helping me with gardening, orchard maintenance, animal chores, chopping firewood, and housework, etc.
Four hours' work daily is required, and help with the dishes is appreciated. Area attractions are: bird sanctuaries, butterfly park, walking tracks, PN 15 km.

My husband and I have just built a passive home that we are still completing. We have a spare bedroom with an ensuite & TV. We have a pig with piglets, 50 sheep, chickens, 2 standard poodles & a lamb & kid that we are currently bottle feeding twice a day! We also have a large vegetable garden. We live a 5 minute drive from the city so to have your own vehicle would be useful. We are happy to drop you in town some days.

We are looking for people prepared to work 4hrs per day in exchange for 3 meals a day. Jobs would include general gardening in the vege garden, a bit of painting, cleaning, maybe helping establish our garden, fencing,
