Hello Help-Xers

I will be away on and off for a while in April and May. I'll update my profile when I am looking for Help-Xers again. :-)

I have a lovely garden, but it easily gets out of control. I would love a person, or two people, to stay for one week or so from time to time to help me sort it out.

I love having people staying and sharing this lovely place.

I would much prefer a person who knew about garden or farm work, maybe with some basic carpentry or handyman skills. It would also be good if they are prepared to help in the house.

I live in a beautiful part of Hobart which is walking distance to the city or there's a bus nearby. I have an adorable pup and a quiet, mature cat. You will need to tolerate them as they are much loved inside and outside pets.

I would like a HelpX-er to work about 3-4 hours a day in return for accommodation and food. You are free to use the kitchen to cook your meals your way if you like. Everything is negotiable.

The accom... more inside

We are a friendly family with people coming and going and always new ideas and new projects. Life is very busy with homeschooling, garden jobs and various creative endeavours. We have a vegetable garden to maintain and other outdoor work and we are also building an extension to our small house. Our food is simple, abundant, mainly vegetarian and cooked with love.

Accommodation for Helpx'ers is in a small cabin with the double bed in the loft, accessible by a short ladder!!

At the moment we have a lot of outdoor work and any one with some building experience would be more than welcome!
We would also love to have you if you like to cook, weed, dig and play games with the younger children. If you like to discuss life, the universe and everything and help with general property maintenance, that would be good too!

Sorry but we can not sign for your second year visa but we can feed you well and share lots of good times with you!

I have recently purchased a cottage with a separate studio in the town of St Marys in Tasmania. Not far from lovely beaches like The Bay of Fires area. It is a renovators delight, a work in progress. I will be using all natural cleaning products and Bio Solutions paints etc... There is a studio which is currently having it's bathroom rebuilt. (Help with this job now would be great) The studio is 6.5 meters X 3.5m wooden hut with wood lining and carpet floor, it has a 3.3m X 1.3m bathroom on the side. This is for accommodation to any non smoking persons who would like to help with renovations. Right now the work to be done is smashing tiles and concrete up inside the house, cleaning walls, sanding down windowsills and door ways. Outside there is wire fencing, concreting, firewood pick up, chicken house to be built, etc...
The place has power and running hot/cold water. A little wood fire B.B.Q. Lots of room to park a car or camper van, or to pitch tents.
No internet or landlin... more inside

Hello happy travellers. We are a family of 4 living in a lovely little house overlooking the sea and Mt Wellington 15min south of Hobart. We have two small girls who are 9 and 11 years old. We need help in the garden mostly as we attempt to turn it into a permaculture paradise. Some cleaning and general household duties and some child minding may be required. It's a 3min walk to the beach with access to coastal bush walks and a 20min bus ride to Hobart CBD on a regular bus service. We have bikes available for borrowing and one of us speaks French and Italian. Limited WIFI provided.

We welcome travellers who enjoy being a part of family life, enjoy being around children, do not smoke or take recreational drugs and enjoy sitting on the deck with a home-brew ginger beer at the end of a good day's work :)

At the moment we are looking for someone with gardening and/or landscaping experiance.

We live in the coastal/ country area of Bream Creek, on the east coast of Tasmania. We live amongst beautiful dairy farm country with a stunning beach 5 minutes away.
We are a relaxed and busy family with 3 energetic young kids. Our house is on a 1 acre block and we always need help in the garden. Some of the jobs we'd like to do soon are: moving a large shed, re-doing the chicken coop, mulching, weeding, mowing, whipper-snipping, and much more! We are happy with an average of 4 hours work each day - some days are longer, some shorter.
We lead busy lives and, while we're keen for our helpxers to join in with our activities, we also need you to be independent.
Please contact us if you think you'd like to come and stay with us.
Many thanks,
Helen and Dougal.
