My husband and I are farmers and run sheep for wool production, with a small amount of cropping.
We have a twelve year old daughter Samantha, who is at boarding school on weekdays.
I breed, train and trial sheepdogs, so it is helpful if you like energetic dogs, (lots of them)
We have chickens, peacocks and an organic vegetable garden, which always needs some TLC.
I like some help with cleaning, cooking, gardening, and some farm tasks.
We live 15km from the town of Darkan which is a small town, but has shops, post office, hotel etc.
Our capital Perth is two hours north from here. A bus runs daily from Perth to a place 40km from here, so pickups are easy.
We have an abundance of bird life and lots of nearby bush reserve, with wildflowers, kangaroos and wallabies etc.
There are no towns in walking distance, but we often visit nearby towns. We have wireless internet with limited downloads and we can sign work visas.
Helpers stay in the spare room in the main house, and ea... more inside

Beef farm and truffel orchard.

Our property is situated in the Southern Forest area of the South West of Western Australia. We have 80 acres in grass and 60 acres in native forest. We are one and a half kms out of the small town of Northcliffe which has a general store, post office, cafe, art gallery, hotel and Tourist Information Center. There are many walks through the national park which surrounds Northcliffe. We are 27kms from Windy Harbour which has beautiful beaches and look-outs from the walks along the cliff tops. We are approximately 120kms from Walpole which has the Tree Top walk through the Valley of the Giants. Our nearest towns are Pemberton and Manjimup, both less than an hour away.

It is a good 5 hour drive from Perth and the only public transport is the Australind Train from Perth to Bunbury, which then connects by bus to Northcliffe. It is a daily service continuing from Northcliffe to Albany.

We're a dynamic couple with an artistic edge who would like to bring the world to our four children.(aged 9, 7, 5 and 2.5).
We run a mixed farm enterprise with sheep and cropping! We would welcome any helpers who are keen to interact and spend time with our four beautiful children, general house work, gardening, assist on the farm and share their culture and language. We're very relaxed, easy going people and the kids will make you laugh. We are also very busy!! We are located 11km south of Darkan. A good understanding of English would be appreciated mainly for the benefit of our children.

1927 brick house on two levels surrounded by tall deciduous and native trees which keep the house reasonably cool. A large lily pond inhabited by long-necked tortoises waters the shrubs and roses. On the other side of a small winter creek is a wild area with deciduous and natives standing in long grass. This borders on a hectare of quiet public park with two dams and a peace labyrinth. At the front of the house stands a tall birch, which has just died due to the drought with a brick paved terrace which encircles it and a fenced off Badminton area. On the West side is a small orchard with two empty chicken houses, a passion fruit vine, grapes, an orange tree, two mandarins, two apple, a plum an apricot and a grapefruit. Only the mandarin trees and a quince tree over the creek are still bearing fruit. To the rear of the house a giant Claret Ash overshadows the recently tinned roof with a Chinese Elm and a Liquid Amber assisting it with some badly needed shade.
