We are 2 people in our late 20's with a young baby, we live in a quiet country town in gippsland about 3 hours from melbourne. We are pretty easy going and lead a quiet life.

We can have 1 person or a couple stay (there is only 1 spare room) and would like someone who speaks english quite well & can help around the house with day to day things, cooking, cleaning, gardening, building & maybe some baby sitting!

smokers are welcome but we only smoke outside.

There are 2 other properties that we need help with a small hobby farm (3 acres) with alpacas that requires alot of clean up work after fires a few years ago and another house that needs to be finished off (painting gardening and cleaning up)

So basically we would love someone to stay that could help with all of those things, being good in the garden and building would be great!

We have wifi internet access and cable tv available and will provide food and a furnished room.

We would be happy to take you around to... more inside

Hi! My name is Madeline, I am 21 years old and have just returned from a HelpX in Alaska! My parents and I are located in the outer Northern suburbs of Melbourne on an 8 acre property, where we have 5 alpacas, 4 sheep, 2 Jack Russells and a cat. Our animals are all pets and we welcome Vegetarian and gluten free eaters! We could use some help with mowing the lawns, chopping firewood for the winter, gardening, feeding the animals and really just some company! We have 2 spare bedrooms in a large house so you will have your own space. We live only about 45 minutes out from the heart of Melbourne, so there are still plenty of stores close by and we are happy to help you with transport. If you are an animal lover and enjoy being outdoors then we would love to get to know you. We are open to experiencing new cultures and hope you are too!

Help!!! Need someone to help child minding for five weeks: April 10 to May 17. 1/2 days only would be very grateful and make it as easy for you as possible.
We're 98 acres in total, 2 or so we farm for self sufficiency (vegetables, orchard, chickens and soon milking animals) and the remainder is protected forest (some landcare work weeding and planting). We're establishing our infrastructure so there's some building work. For accommodation we have a spare room in our house and/or a shack a short distance away which, however, is without amenities as yet. We are 15 kms from beautiful beaches, 28 kms from the nearest substantial town. The wildlife is great. We have two kids, 4 and 2 yrs old.

We are 6km from Lakes Entrance, a pretty fishing/tourist town on the East Gippsland coast. Half of the 90 hectares is native forest, the other half is used for grazing horses. Accommodation offered is a room in our small house, sharing our bathroom and toilet facilities and eating with us. We are a couple in our sixties, active and involved in our horse business and visual arts. We love good food, a glass of wine and good conversation.
We are hoping to find someone who loves gardening, because we never can find the time to do it. Sharing the cooking would be nice, too.
At present we are bent on finishing a straw bale building, a project that has gone on far too long.

Meg is unwell at the moment. Can't take helpers until further notice. Sorry!

Pretty little farm. One hour's drive from Melbourne CBD. 6K from nearest public transport. 20K to Melbourne/Bendigo train at Woodend or Kyneton. On the Great Dividing Range in Spa and Goldfields country. Rich soil and spring water.Large dams for swimming but very cold water. Lots of native trees and wild life on farm. Easy to see birds but most animals sleep during day. Adjacent to Wombat Forest, Daylesford, Macedon Ranges and Hanging Rock but you will need a car to visit these. Some snow in winter but not very much lately.
Stock; beef cattle, meat goats, few sheep, some pigs and chooks. Sell produce by word of mouth.
Old farm house with large garden, cats and dogs. Lots of lovely people in the neighbourhood too.
Meg is the farm owner and grandmother, Ciaran is the son and farmer. He is also an arborist. Cyra and Devan are Ciaran's children who visit at weekends.
We need help around the house and p... more inside
