Beautiful farm with picturesque views, and organic vegetables in Coldstream. We are a stone's throw from a shopping centre and wineries, yet surrounded by cows, chickens, green grassy hills and the fresh air of the country. Come and stay with us and spend 4 hours 5 days a week: gardening, doing small renovations and cleaning. We provide food and hope that you also enjoy cooking too. We are a busy family of 5 with 3 children aged 17(boy), 13 (girl) and 10 (boy). Our 10.5 hectare property is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley surrounded by wineries and orchards. Our property has 4 houses on it, 2 of which are used for weekend accommodation (B&B), we also have 6 pet cows, 2 ponies, chooks, 3 small dogs and rabbits. We require help in a multitude of areas, so if you are a carpenter, electrician, general labourer or gardener we would love to hear from you. We are planning on building a couple of small decks in the near future, but always need help cutting wood, mowing lawns, feeding animals and general maintainence. Being able to use a chainsaw would be good, other equipment used would be a ride-on mower and hydrolic log splitter which are very easy to operate. We require the helper to work 25-30 hours per week with weekends off, and are happy to negotiate so if you want to work 8 hours one day then have the next day off thats fine. In exchange we will give you a... more inside

This lovely parcel of undulating land comprises two large dams, fruit trees: pears, apricots, apples, cherries, olives. Also a vegetable garden and berries. Our home is modest but comfortable. Maria's Chilean cooking with the freshest of ingredients selected from her garden and home-grown herbs will showcase the warmth of country hospitality. We are getting old, and would like to have hard-working couple or single person to help us to maintain the weeding, planting and gardening.

We live 12km from the centre of Melbourne within walking distance to public transport. I live with my 12 year old son, 4 cats and 1 dog (and my boyfriend about half the week!)

I only need on average around 2 hours work per day, which would involve cleaning, gardening, walking the dog and/or just hanging out with my son on occasions if I'm not home. As there are not many hours involved and you will have plenty of free time to do your own thing, I WILL NOT be providing food. I'm happy to share what I'm cooking with you some nights, provided you are also prepared to do the same on other nights.

Accommodation provided is your own room with your own TV. There is a shared bathroom, living area and kitchen. Unfortunately my cats don't respect privacy, so be prepared for them entering your room and jumping on the bed to keep you company!

Preferred length of stay is anything up to 2 weeks.

Please note that I will not host anyone who does not have a photo on their profile.

we are a family with 2 vivacious young children (3 and 8 years old) living in a lovely home in Warrandyte, next to a state forest, walking distance to the yarra river and walking tracks, surrounded by trees. close to the famous yarra valley with attractions such as horseriding, wineries, hiking, skiing, native wildlife and markets. you are likely to see kangaroos and koalas near our home and there are some lovely cafes nearby
we are exited to welcome honest and caring travellers to our home to exchange cultures and friendship. we ask for 5 hours daily (8-12 or 9-1) and 1 hour after evening meal (6-7pm) to help tidy up. Our children are awake from 7am onwards, so it helps if you are a morning person and like children. These times can be negotiable. giving you the afternoons and evening for exploring. 3 days minimum stay suggested. We mostly need help gardening and with domestic duties such as washing, cleaning and preparing meals.

This is not your average ad. I am a nomadic musician cycling from Melbourne to Brisbane for 3 months starting 26th March. I have shows and places to stay along the way.

I need singers, activist cheerleaders, musicians and helpers to come along. I do this in different countries with different companions. It is an amazing trip. I write songs about the news and the places we're in and play them live that day.

Visit my website to read the blog about the last trip across New Zealand.

There is no money offered. But no catches. Cycling about 100km a day. Carbon neutral touring. Although you can hitchhike. we stay through couchsurfing, warmshowers, or in venues or wherever. it's an adventure!

Bring your own bicycle and instrument and sleeping bag.
