Hi travellers!

It is a kind of special description to come.
I am Pauline, 22 yo, travelling around Australia where I discovered HelpX. And I am thinking... WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR MY PARENTS BACK HOME.

We live in the beautiful Béarn countryside and Madiran wine area, about 45 min from Pau, 2h from Spain, 1.5 h from beaches and 1.5h from ski ropes. So you will have lots to dicover during your free time as we would require between 20-25 hours work per week.

We live on a busy dairy farm (about 40 cows), but we also different crops especially during summer (corn, wheat...). We also lots of other animals to take care of (rabbits, chicken, ducks, horses) and a vegetable garden which also need to work on. We also have two different houses which need to be maintained or even more, renovated (painting, gardening, cleaning...). While writing this, I realise the amount of work my 58 yo parents have to face at.

This is why they would be happy to share a nice room (either mine or t... more inside

This is our home, ceramics workshop and permanent gallery. It is a typical Basque house set in the heart of the Pays Basque, at the foot of the Pyrenees, with an attached independent Gite. Yves-Marie is an artist with a 100m2 workshop on site where he produces ceramics and holds courses for students wanting to learn ceramics. We host exhibitions here during the summer where Yves-Marie presents his new collections along with other invited artists. We are In the heart of the countryside with lots of walks, places to visit and cycle to.

Our day to day language is French, Jan is English, Yves-Marie is French.

We need help in the workshop to help organise, tidy up, paint and prepare the clay before it is transformed, so a little experience in ceramics would be useful. We are now working on the website for the gallery, workshop and ceramic courses so any web input would be appreciated too. We always need help in the garden, especially this year, as we are involved in the 'jardins ... more inside

We are an elderly couple with animals that are rescued from maltreatment and slaughter; 9 goats, 1 cow, 4 sheep, 6 dogs, 9 cats, chickens and geese.
The helper we hope to find needs to be able to speak a little French as we don't speak English very well. Would you like to help us with the animals, gardening of vegetables, fruits and flowers, and to cook (vegetarian), then please contact us. There is a spare room for you available, as well as a swimming pool and help all around to get you 'sorted out' in France. :) You are welcome!

Hi helpers !

I live in South West of France, in a little medieval village. Our village is 20min drive from Agen, the nearest city, which is in between Bordeaux and Toulouse, 1h30 driving from each. Our house is a charming stone house in the country.
I am 56, married living with my husband and have two lovely children (23 and 26) who are sometimes here as well. 2 cats (Zelda and Prunelle) are also part of our family.
You also have to know that I smoke (I know, it's bad....) but I totally refuse any consumption of drugs.
Myself and my family would be happy to meet foreign people ! Here, you'll be considerated as part of our family, we also like to have a lot of fun !

I also would like some help for my vegetable garden, cleaning (and swimming if you like !) the swimming pool, a little bit of housekeeping, cooking if you like or whatever is going on. I expect a maximum of 4 hours of work per day, I am very flexible about your day off.
We all can speak a little bit english, but... more inside

A small 3 bedroom house along with barns, workshop and house that has burnt down and needs clearing. The land is pasture with trees and a pond. All set in the rolling Dordogne countryside.
Hi there Helpxers, are you interested in helping a ‘young’, easy-going, 54 year old divorcee’s dream become a plan? My humble little home is set in 5 hectares of pastureland and trees. Around us there are forests and tracks and a smattering of sleepy historic villages. In short it is an idyllic spot for people to get away from it all but close enough to beautiful towns such as Sarlat and Bergerac.
However, our home has seen tragedy. A few years ago our house suffered an arson attack and is now a stone shell fast turning into a wild, walled garden. We had to turn our back on it for financial reasons, and convert our pigsty barn into a house! In trying to rebuild our lives the land became a low priority too.
But that's in the past. Now my plan is to turn our tragedies into something that will b... more inside
