Hi, I live in Auckland with one flatmate. If you speak SPANISH or JAPANESE fluently, you can stay in my home for a few days in exchange for teaching/speaking to me in one of those languages. You don't have to be a native speaker, although that would be great. I know many Europeans/Asians are multilingual, unlike many New Zealanders! I work so you will have plenty of time to yourselves to study English, work or go sightseeing. However, you must be serious about helping me improve! In return I offer a comfortable single room, free internet use, use of bathroom/balcony etc. My place is near a shopping centre with cafes and a movie theatre. It is also close to Auckland's CBD. I will do my best to give you lots of advice in Spanish/Japanese regarding travelling in New Zealand. Arigatoo/ Muchas gracias.

We're a family of six who try to live sustainably off our land. Sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, and bees share our sweeping views of the Kaipara Harbour. We have numerous varieties of fruit trees including a few exotic species and large areas for vegetables and berries.

We are 5mins north of Kaukapakapa, 12 mins from Helensville, and 20 mins from Silverdale. The NEX bus to Hibiscus Coast (Silverdale) is the closest public transport. Your own vehicle is ideal but not essential.

We're on SH16, the alternate route north from Auckland so we're an excellent location if you're heading north towards Cape Reinga/Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. We're about 40 minutes by car from downtown Auckland.

We are well traveled and look forward to sharing part of your time in New Zealand with you.

Couples and non-smokers preferred.

We are a busy household with a bit of a chaotic lifestyle at times but are very friendly and flexible. We are an older couple with adult children who also live on our property with their wee boy(one year old). We are both retired and my husband has a physical disability which means he can't do a lot of physical tasks so we really appreciate help around our place. Our small farmlet has cats, chickens, horses and a vegetable garden. We require four hours help daily per person with general maintenance around the place including gathering, splitting and stacking firewood (chainsawing as well if you can) gardening/weeding, caring for animals including horses, painting and household chores. If you have fencing experience that would be a real bonus as we need help with repairing some fences! We are fine if you want to work one full day and spend another day exploring our beautiful coastal area. Our home is modest but comfortable, situated on the west coast of Auckland in the very scenic Wa... more inside

XXXXSeeking help for late april/ early May 18.Ideal Independent couples who have experience with Painting, cleaning, gardening and carpentry XXX
I am working during the day and often busy so couples or friends are best as i dont want you to be bored and lonely. If you have your own transport you will really be able to make the most of your time off and also spend time at the cabin near Thames.
I do have a car you can use when i dont need it for shorter trips.

My home is in a lovely part of the city fringe close to bush, beach and funky cafes and bars. We have bikes etc and can lend a car for local travel if you have license and are over 25 for the insurance
Auckland City is an easy commute. We also have projects at our cabin in Thames.
We have been hosting for 7 and a half years now. Please see our great feedback.
An ideal stay is between 4 and 10 days.
We would love to exchange accommodation and food in exchange for your help.

We have two children living at home, (Elliot, 13 & Isaac, 8), two teenagers living mainly in Auckland and two grown up children who each have their own children (and live nearby). We both work full time - Chris as a builder, and me (Sarah) for a fertiliser company - so we always need help with general housework, gardening, child minding and so on. We have one cat, two dogs (all live outside), two cattle, and a pig. We are near the end of the Awhitu Peninsula and so are only 10 min drive to any of 6 different beaches.

I run an occasional Bed and Breakfast business on a 4 acre lifestyle block, close to motorway, shops and public transport. Morning and evening feed out to the animals such as chickens, donkey etc. If you relate well to animals, read on. If you are not proficient in a certain field, we do not mind, but be honest! This is a tranquil setting in the country centered around the animals. This tranquility continues when there are people that enjoy being part of a team. Smokers need not apply. Under 23 years old and first time Wwoofers need not apply unless you are willing to learn and not have an attitude. Those that do not understand a win/win situation spoil the tranquility. This type of property requires people with flexible minds and always needs maintenance, gardening, and housework. There is usually a DIY project on the go and some paddock maintenance required. There is a three day trial requirement and a minimum stay of ideally two weeks. Drivers license a big plus but not essent... more inside
