We're a busy bilingual family of 5 with 3 energetic boys aged 9, 7, and 3 years old.

We're a happy, active lot and live in a spacious, warm and dry house right by Karori Park and Makara Peak Mountain bike park. Mountain biking tracks, bush walks, the park and playground are on our door step and we're always out there using them. (Mountain bike hire available at bike shop close by!)
Fab bus connection to the city (17 mins - goes about every 10 mins), plus great local facilities such as library, pool, shops, cafes within walking distance.

We generally host 1 or 2 helpers. Your work hours are around 3 hours/day/person in exchange for accommodation and shared family dinner. You bring your own food for lunch and breakfast. You'll have your own sunny room with a queen bed and your own bathroom, and you'd stay with us as a welcome part of the family, with s... more inside

Hi, I have 2 great kids (Callum 11 and Isla 8), 2 West Highland Terriers and a cat. We are all very easy going and have a comfortable and tidy 4 bedroom house which we would like to share with you. My kids love meeting people from other countries and if possible I would like some help with childcare. It would be fantastic if you could walk the dogs every now and again as they absolutely love going on adventures. You will have access to a couple of Kayaks and we are very close to the water. Stay as long as you want then move on when you are ready for your next adventure.

Hi, we are a family of five with three children.

We are looking for someone to help out with cleaning, cooking etc... four hours a day.

We can provide a warm, large room with a view and wi fi and are located in one of Wellington's more central suburbs.

We are especially looking for someone (or two people) between 15 October and the 3 November. Ideally you would have a driver's licence but not absolutely necessary.

The farm is cared for by David and Joy and has a herd of Angus cattle, a few other animals, a separate accommodation building, two lovely streams, and peaceful native bush. Between us we have the following interests: homeopathy, Japanese language, gardening, dancing, and building. We are happy to pick you up from Waikanae which is one hour's train from Wellington and is on the main highway route. General farm work, varies from light work to some other work like fencing and digging.

We are currently looking for a horse friendly, child friendly helper for a few months over the summer. Minimum two weeks but would prefer someone for a couple of months. To help with horses, gardening and a bit of home life. Nothing to labour intensive but we would like someone practical and who shows initiative. Confidence around horses a must. I compete at showjumping shows so the odd weekend a way in different regions would be available, camping in the horse truck. These are always a bit of fun, not to harder work and usually very social. This would not be compulsory every weekend as I have someone else helping but the odd one I would appreciate the help if she can not come.

Just a bit about us ....We are horsey couple with a gorgeous 11 yr old son. Living on 40 acres within 5mins walk to Otaki township. We have a lovely 110 yr old homestead amongst 5 acres of tree laden garden.

There's load of animals here. Horses (show jumpers and trekking horses), cattle, ... more inside

Tena koutou, we have space and need help around the property.

WANTED: queer or queer-friendly woman or couple with practical skills to help us whip the house and garden into shape! Someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty in the garden, splitting and moving wood, earth moving for gardens, and maybe a bit of cooking if you enjoy it.

US: Justine and Danielle, also 2 half-time teenage girls, 2 cats, 1 dog, and several maverick chickens.

Paekakariki: a small seaside village 40 minutes by train from Wellington. Wellington is NZ's capital city, and is full of funky bars and cafes as well as being close to many beautiful outdoors adventure spots. Paekakariki has a general store, pub, deli and cafes, yoga, African dance evenings, a ukulele band...! We also boast the friendliest community you may ever find: living la dole vita, making art or raising their kids away from the rat-race. And of course there's the BEAUTIFUL beach which is 5 minutes from our place!

We'd lo... more inside
