Hobby Farm 10 minutes drive (by car) from Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads and the beach. We often need help with gardening, weeding, cleaning, some planting and taking care for our animals.
For the helper(s) there is a cosy, clean self contained studio with new bathroom, kitchenette, TV, Queen size bed plus undercover terrace/seating, wifi and air-conditioning. Photos 2,3,4 show the helpers accomodation. The studio is very close to the horse stables so please don't apply if you are allergic to or uncomfortable with horses.
We have a swimming pool, views, enjoy privacy on the property and we eat healthy and tasty here.
Only animals lovers may apply, we share our lives with 2 energetic young dogs, a relaxed older cat and several horses aged between 3 and 30.
Ideally you would have your own car, if not you could hitch or take the schoolbus that goes past, there is no other public transport. We just had the last helpers leave and have space here again for a new person or a... more inside

Our house is in beautiful Port Macquarie and is within walking distance to beautiful beaches, Coles & Dan Murphy, downtown shopping, Koala Hospital, town pool, library and restaurants.

Accommodation and provisions for 3 meals per day is in exchange for 4 hours help (each person) per night you stay (including weekends). Jobs could be cleaning, cooking, gardening, office tasks, painting, computer updates etc.

Work times (time of day & duration i.e. you can work more some days to have other days off) are worked out to suit both parties.

Most visitors are 'passing through' Port Macquarie so stays of a couple of days up to one week are ideal, although, I have had visitors stay for up to one month.

Port Macquarie is 2 hours south of Coffs Harbour (5 hours south of Byron Bay) between Sydney & Brisbane (5 hours north of Sydney, 6 hours south of Brisbane)

Looking forward to hosting you.

Welcome - My name is Shunyam, I live in an alternative community near Bellingen, north coast of NSW, surrounded by National Park & beautiful beach. Iím a natural health practitioner.

I want people who are interested in learning about alternative lifestyle, non-smokers preferred.

I always need help in the garden, especially in summer. Iím looking for people wanting to stay short-term &/or long-term.... more inside

GROWING FOOD - BUILDING HABITAT - REWILDING

Educating and investing in the good.

We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay. The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away, Byron is another 15 minutes from there.

We are developing an edible forest garden on a permaculture design and returning the rest of the land to rainforest. We are chemical free, working with the weeds. As a result we have a large variety of native fauna. Native birds, bees, frogs and micro-bats thrive in these conditions. There are two ponds that sometimes have platypus living in them. We have one flow hive for low stress honey collection from European bees.

We are not aiming to be self-sufficient in food, rather to have an abundant food supply, which we supplement from the butcher, the grocer and the deli.

WHAT DRIVES US
Love. People. Increasing bio-diversity on this wondrous piece of land. Doing positive stuff for the planet.

WORK
We benefit from all the help that is offered and... more inside

I am involved in a social enterprise which is an early childhood holistic initiative. We have run holistic early childhood programs in socially disadvantaged communities across Australia. I have written a book on how to raise healthy children called "Eco Parenting" Growing Greener Children. I am looking for someone to help around the house with cleaning, painting and gardening. If you have design, computer and/or web design skills they would be welcomed to assist with our new initiative Ė an on-line a new early childhood course. We have two children (6 and 9) and would like to offer accommodation to travellers who are willing to assist with odd jobs around the house including cooking and cleaning. We are willing to be flexible with hours worked in exchange for accommodation and anticipate that you would not need to do work more than 4 hours per day. We can offer free internet (when you are not with the children) and are happy for you to eat with our family. We enjoy eating quality/healthy food and aim to be sugar free as much as possible with our children.

Our children attend a Steiner/Waldorf school so we are focused on nature based activities (walks, going to the beach etc), art/craft and reading. We do not have a television and discourage use of screens in front of our children.

We live a short walk from the famous Bondi Beach and an easy bus/train trip to the city.

You would have your own bedroom (one large bed or two single beds) and also your own bathroom.

Looking for people now, mostly garden work. Wifi available. Maybe a bit of housework as well.
We have a beautiful place 30kms from the coast with a developing garden and small orchard around the house and some wild bush acres up the back.
Beautiful views of national parks, the country-side and even the ocean.
Available are rooms in the house and also some separate accommodation.
This is not a commercial property but there is always plenty to do.
Occasional music performances and artist workshops occurring.
We like to do a bit in the local community as well.
We are happy to take people from a few days to longer periods depending on how things go and what's happening.
Transport to Cobargo, which is on the highway is usually by bus. We are 11kms from Cobargo. We can pick people up. Having your own transport would be an advantage but it is ok if you don't.

We run a regenerative farm on the outskirts of a bohemian town called Candelo. The farms runs over 300 Australian White sheep, Herefords and some Fresian steers. We neighbour a dairy farm, an intentional community and a National Park and therefore is a diverse, beautiful and colourful place.

The intention of the farm is to integrate biodiversity with production plus sustain ourselves with organic gardens and meat produced on the farm.

The arts are very much part of life here in the valley and we have a steinman grand piano as the centre piece of the farm house and we will be running a summer series cinema on the farm hopefully sponsored by the the Candelo Arts Society..It is not uncommon the hear a local old mans rock band play live on a Sunday as well in the middle house.

We are looking for people who are keen to participate and learn on the farm. There are many options to assist whether that be science, maintaining environmental plantings, food production and/or sheep wo... more inside
