We live in Mallacoota, on the south east coast and one of the most beautiful places in Australia. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park with the ocean, lakes and beaches at our doorstep. We are 3kms from the centre of town, and 4km from the nearest beach. There are about 7 magnificent beaches within 10kms from us. BUT be warned, Mallacoota is 540kms from Melbourne, 630kms from Sydney and 360kms from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.

Our family includes Mark, Cate and our three daughters, who are 15, 13 & 10 years old. There are also a dog, a cat, a horse, 3 ducks, a rooster and 14 chickens (we sell the eggs locally). Kangaroos visit our property daily. Some of the parrots are now so tame at our bird feeder they can be hand fed.

Our 3.5-hectare property needs tidying, cleaning, and minor repairs. Work includes animal care, gardening, and helping with household chore... more inside

Thanks to HelpX and Airbnb I have had the pleasure to host folk from England, France, Germany, Australia, Poland, Italy, America, India and China and more in my home surrounded by farmland & National Park forests, with valley and Southern Ocean views above the famous Great Ocean Road 18 kms from Apollo Bay on all weather road, where Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Kookaburras and Echidnas abound. Birdlife is abundant. We have Waterfalls and bushwalks, beaches for surf and swimming, Art/Craft galleries and there is Music almost every weekend of the year. Bushwalking and cycling are very popular in the district.
A VLine bus runs between Geelong and Apollo Bay (about 3 hours) and transport can be arranged from Apollo Bay or Skenes Creek at a small fee.
I love to meet new people, learn about their culture and share mine and host them in my home in exchange for some help to set up my gardens and animal yards and housing, as well as some help with the housework and improvements and with ... more inside

This is a beautiful property - and requires some ongoing general property maintenance.
Jobs including gardening - weeding, mowing, trimming, mulching and some painting. The choock shed needs a bit of attention, nothing to major, just general upkeep really.
I'd be happy to have you here, no smoking, drugs or alcohol.
The property backs onto the beautiful Tarago River and has a variety of native bird life around.
For those wondering - there is plenty of space to park your RV and hook up to water and power!
Longwarry North is in West Gippsland, its about 1hr 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, about 1 hour from Philip Island & Wilsons Prom, at the foothills of the Strezlecki ranges and Mt Baw Baw. Some very beautiful country to explore around Gippsland. Your own vehicle is a must.

Nestled against a hill, next to a state forest with a second to none view of the sea and surrounding farms, this isolated small farm, is looking to produce all its own organic food in a plastic free environment. You will have you own room and there is also plenty of places to camp if you fancy putting up a tent.

We are looking for short term international volunteers who are interested in fencing, gardening, creating a permaculture garden and clearing out some sheds. There is no public transport so having your own car is a plus but not necessary. If you have an interested in native birds and animals then this place will surprise and delight you. The season to see whales and seal pups is from May to September. Adult seals you can see all year around. The beaches and surf in this region are amazing as we are situated at the end of the Great Ocean Road, 40 kms south of Port Fairy. Looking forward to meeting you.

We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we hav... more inside

Need to bring the magnificent house and property back to life so that families may come and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Very comfortable farm. I live in a roomy modern farmhouse.1 hour to melbourne[ by car or train ], separate warm bedroom, sep bathroom.
I work hard at conservation and being SUSTAINABLE.... we have our own independent water supply, and produce our own electricity ( solar panels- 4.5kw - and solar water ; but we are GRID CONNECTED to power also.)
In fact , I am quietly passionate about being sustainable ,and I try to leave a ' small footprint'.
Central heating plus some wood fires , wood cooking.
Helping may involve...
Wood collecting , log-splitting (mechanical,) painting,
pruning, cooking, GARDENING , general farm-work .Open to negotiation . Happy to help out with the English language.... but you must have good basic English . I think communication is critically important.
Please do not apply if you cannot speak intermediate/basic English.
I am very keen to get a major house clean done!

I am very interested in self-sufficiency and energy conservation- but live a comf... more inside
