We have renovated a luxurious historic homestead located on edge of Shepparton in Victoria which has some B&B accommodation. The garden is 2 hectares with forests, a lake and a sunken garden. It is used for weddings, garden tours, wedding receptions and small functions. It is located 180km north of Melbourne in the heart of the fruit and wine region of Victoria and 40 minutes from the mighty Murray River. To view photos of the property go to the website listed above and a video of the property on YouTube. Our garden was in the Australian open garden scheme for 20 years and is often used for charity events. It is very large to maintain in peak condition and we would love you to come and assist us with the garden and homestead maintenance. In particular our organic vegie garden becomes overgrown very quickly at times and we use the produce from this to feed our guests or make home made preserves, pickles and chutneys. Dependent on the time of year your stay could involve anything fro... more inside

On the edge of Strathbogie township, I care for chooks, a beautiful garden and many trees (exotic, native, fruit and nut). Echidnas reside and Koalas often visit … it’s a very peaceful setting with spectacular views and only 2hrs. North of Melbourne.

Currently vegie gardening, mulching trees and outdoor painting are the main tasks and there’s more to choose from. Daily work is 3-4 hours and there’s often local activities to join in. The community is diverse and strong.
Beautiful forest and swimming holes nearby. Mt. Wombat is 5 minutes away and bushwalking here is a must-do. Much to see in this granite country.

I enjoy spending time with people and also time to myself. Good food, good fun, creative expression and meaningful connection are important to me.
Comfortable accommodation in house or bungalow (see photo)… non-smokers please … children most welcome. Meals are shared and local/organic, mostly vegetarian.

Currently looking for Helpers

Prefer Helpers over 25 ( non smokers )

Hi my name is Anthony and I live in Red Hill which is located on the Mornington Penninsula just over an hour (by road) from Melbourne. Rolling hills dotted with vineyards and surrounded by the sea, this region is one of Melbournian's most popular "weekend getaway" destinations.

Wake up to the singing birds in a log cabin set amongst the tree tops, borded by an organic apple orchard and fringed by forest. Home to friendly and colourful native bird life and visited by a family of cheeky possums each night. Lovely walks to restaurants, markets and our general store.

I have too many projects to handle by myself as I care for my 9 year old most weekends and some nights during the week.

The projects are varied and include; clearing vegetation, maintaining the organic vegetable garden, planting native trees and shrubs, splitting wood (by machine), building a wood fired oven, setting up chicken coup, pai... more inside
