I am a single woman living the dream. I am building my own home and trying to set up garden beds for sustainable living. I have a caravan for helpx helpers to stay in which has heating for the cold winter nights. I am a shift worker so there are times that I will need to sleep during the day. Own transport is preferred but not essential as there is no public transport on the island. Plenty of time given so you can see the many attractions the island has to offer. Shared bathroom and outdoor toilet facilities. I have 5 horses, 2 dogs a cat and chickens. Meals are simple and I am willing to adjust to suit all dietary requirements. If you would like to know more then please contact me.

We have a bush block with a 1 kilometre frontage to Pelican Lagoon Aquatic Reserve and Pelican Lagoon Conservation Park. Work is in our large vegetable garden, rock wall building and other construction projects, track maintainance, general household duties and computer. We work a 5 hour day not including time for lunch and smoko- although all these times are flexible. We may have wwoofers as well. Accommodation is in a rough shack on the property (see the photo) or a large tent with beds and linen... food includes home brew beer. Mobile and 3 g coverage is about a ten minute walk from the house. I, and my dog, Angelina, enjoy meeting people and because I'm in my 70's I welcome help. There's plenty of work, such as gardening, renovating, painting and, of course, cleaning. I can also use computer skills.
My house is semi-underground, I have solar hot water and try to live sustainable.
Smoking only outside but definitely NO DRUGS.
Minimum stay 3 nights, longer stays by arrangement.

Stunning sheep property on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Only 40min to the Kangaroo Island ferry, 40 min to Victor Harbor, 25min to the beautiful seaside town of Normanville & 10min to the beach.
The property also neighbours Deep Creek National Park & has a beautiful English garden.

Looking for helpers, preferably couples because of the nature of the work. It would be great to have help with the garden & general farm work (fencing, weed control, sheep work etc) & also with domestic jobs.

There are 2 spare rooms, but prefer to only have 2 helpers at any 1 time.
The perfect location for people that love outdoor activities.
Interests include travel, the outdoors, dirt bikes, water sports & cars.

I live two streets back from a beautiful coastline in a semi rural seaside village on the fleurieu peninsula. I have a large house block that grows organic fruit and vegetables, it is a beautiful garden. On the otherside of the back boundary there is paddocks with views of the rolling hills. I would like help with gardening, painting and other little odd jobs. The area is well known for its vineyards, wineries and coastline which we can visit. I can pick you up from the nearest railway station.

My husband John and I have a 140 acre farm in Rockleigh SA. 15 minutes from Murray Bridge and an hour from Adelaide. We are about to undertake quite a big renovation on the 1880's section of our house. We are looking for someone to help with a bit of housekeeping and general jobs around the farm.
John works in Adelaide and commutes each day and it would be great to have an extra set of hands.
We are very close to the river Murray and are hoping to get a small houseboat soon which will be fun.
If this sounds like something you would enjoy let me know.
Thanks Pip

We are a small family who have recently moved house and need a little help for a week or two, while we get ourselves organised!

Your work would include an hour or two a day of gardening, cooking, cleaning, child minding, fixing things around the house or building furniture, depending on your skills and interests.

In exchange, we can offer you a comfortable room to sleep in while you are here and a little bit of fun and friendly company! Would be happy to share a few evening meals, but otherwise you would need to cater for yourself while you are here.

Our home is small and cosy. We are very close to public transport into the city. You would have enough time to yourself to work or go sightseeing while you are here.
