Our property was formerly a dairy farm but was 70% planted to Tasmanian Blue Gum (eucalyptus) trees about 16 years ago. We generally have a few cattle on the property which is in a cool climate region of South Australia close to the McLaren Vale wine growing area and the township of Willunga which is known for art, coffee shops and its Saturday Farmers Market. We are 20 minutes drive from a number of beautiful beaches and a 50 minute drive to the centre of Adelaide. We are serviced by a bus service to Adelaide.
Requirements are for help with maintaining fencing, cutting of firewood, ground level trimming of trees and assistance with gardening as well as other light duties as required. The house has an upstairs bedroom suitable for two persons with a sitting room and own private bathroom. Meals would be with the hosts and sometimes there will be a requirement to help out with cooking.

Small scale hobby farm with vineyard (has been neglected by past owner and now being restored) and horses (equestrian competition and breeding), and fabrication workshop.
Help required to rebuild this property that has been allowed to slip by previous occupant.
Duties of fencing, vineyard maintenance, horse handling and riding. Some assistance with machinery repairs, steel fabrication/welding would be helpful as my partner is recovering from surgery.
We offer a bedroom with a queen bed, or we can place an additional single bed in the room (it is large). Room has own private bathroom facilities and entrance. You would sharing our house/kitchen, but the bedroom does have a separate recreation room with tv/foxtel and lounge - all fully air conditioned.
We have domestic/indoor cats and dogs (so if you have allergies this would not suit), and outdoor doors, and of course, the horses (many horses).

We grow a selection of tree and vine fruits on the home farm with a home orchard and vegetable garden providing much of our food. We also have a share in a cattle station, with sweeping views of the River Murray, 20 minutes from our farm.
The enterprise is a tree change for us as we spent most of our lives working in education.
We enjoy the company of young people and look forward to an interesting cultural exchange as well as some help with the chores around the farm.
Accommodation is in the form of a flat attached to our house with en suite bathroom. There are two rooms each with a double bed. Although not certified organic our philosophy is to use minimal chemical inputs. Extra work is available in the district should you require.

Spring is here! There is hay to rake, sheep to be dagged and shorn, and lots of mowing and cleaning up fire hazard material. Summer vegetables need to be sown. The Suzuki Carry has carby troubles, and the guttering has holes - lots to do!

Curlew Valley is situated 20km from Kingscote, a relatively central position on the island. Well vegetated, dissected by a beautiful gum-lined valley with a winter creek, and frequented with kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, other native fauna and birdlife.

We run sheep for wool and meat, and have many other domestic creatures. There are orchards, gardens, and some bees. It is a genuine, though small, primary production enterprise.

Accommodation is usually in an historic style three bedroom cottage, or a self-contained caravan. The cosy cottage is old and quite basic compared to modern homes, but still has the essentials. At this time it is preferable that you prepare your own meals with food supplied, but we can share sometimes. There is ... more inside

We operate as a privately run wildlife sanctuary. We are feral fenced and have many endangered species, several of which are extinct on the mainland. These include Bandicoots, Woylies, Bettongs, Tammar, Swamp and Red-Necked Wallabies, Quolls, Bilbies, and Platypus who all roam freely over our property and also our neighbours, a total of 11 hectares. We volunteer with the Native animal Network and are continually hand raising orphaned Joeys. We also operate our own Platypus viewing business, Platypus Eco Tours, check out our web site for more info.
Come and enjoy our little piece of paradise with our welcoming family. Either email or call us to make arrangements. Looking forward to meeting you soon. Mel:)

Currently seeking helpers for spring gardening and general land-care.

Our 20 acre heritage-listed bush block borders on the beautiful Onkaparinga River (great for swimming!) in the Adelaide Hills, & is home to lots of kangaroos, koalas, birds, etc. We have beehives, chickens, vegetable gardens & an orchard. We live in an owner-built sustainable strawbale house with solar power & rainwater. Accommodation is initially in caravans nestled amongst the bush, with longer-term options of a tipi, or a very cute hut! We eat wholesome organic vegetarian food, and are happy for helpers to share the cooking. We have broadband internet, and all the basic facilities, but live a very simple life. I'm a 45yo migration agent and owner builder passionate about sustainability, spiritual growth, and learning about different cultures. My two young boys live with me part-time. Can pick up from Aldgate, etc.

We are a family of 3. Husband, Kane is 31 and is a high functioning autistic and works from home in his own business, Wife, Rachel is 33 and is a social worker and works in her own business from home, daughter Lily 4.

We are looking for someone who can help out with Lily - take her to the playground, play with her and help at bedtime as Rachel works fulltime (sometimes late) tidying Lily's room, putting her clothes away and help a little out around the house esp cooking as Kane cannot do everything on his own at home, possibly help with a food shop dependent on what Kane feels he can do.

There is no doubt Kane would probably prefer someone who keeps to themself, he will chat though if he feels comfortable, someone who will not judge him and has understand adult autism would be fantastic and who is willing to learn about why/how he does things as he struggles with social understandings and everyday experiences/situations sometimes.

Kane is a musician as well, he is very tec... more inside
