We are a small family of 4 who are all vegetarians living on 25 acre organic farm in NW Tasmania. Our main crops are potatoes, cherries, apples, peas, etc. We also have three cows, a goat, and a rooster that are part of the family. As well as increasing and improving the gardens I have been converting some of the out buildings to accommodation. This property used to be two separate dairy farms. So there are two farm houses and two sets of out buildings.

All on the farm are vegetarians. We can teach vegetarian lifestyle and how to live in harmony with animals, nature, and the land.

There are a 4 bedroom, 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 1 very large bedroom houses on the farm. Each has is own kitchen, bath, and wood heater.

Meals are provided in the main farm house 3 times daily.

Located near Table Cape in North West Tasmania. The ocean can be seen from the farm on clear days with nice bush walks starting at the farm.

We have room for up to 4 (but usually prefer 1 or 2) in a queen bed and 2 singles in a rustic HelpX cabin with cooking, sleeping, and separate shower (also a firebath)
Let us know what skills you have and any other details.

Our business is a B&B, the Jetty House was built in 1876, and we have an organic home garden, alternative heating systems. cat and chickens
For fun we have boats, canoes, fishing, hiking, bikes, caving, thermal springs, swimming and beaches.
Through the summer there is a lot of mowing and whippersnipping to be done but the weather is lovely. A great time to visit the far south.

We enjoy enthusiastic people who like to find out about the places they visit especially if they like gardening. People who like to find interesting ways to cook garden produce and help with housework are also very welcome. And of course, people with building and associated skills are very much appreciated.

We cannot sign 2nd. visas, our property is not qualified.

We run a small gourmet mushroom business, supplying growing cultures to other growers, and fresh mushrooms to local restaurants. Our farm is home to Tasmanian Devils, Platypus, Quolls and other wildlife, as well as our chooks and ducks. We have 2 children, 12 and 14 yrs old, and a large dog. We are establishing an orchard, large vege gardens, and a small goat dairy. We would like help with building, gardening, milking the goats, as well as general farm work. Happy to teach helpers how to grow gourmet mushrooms. Accommodation is in a caravan, down by the dam. Wifi is in the house, sometimes it reaches the caravan. There is mobile reception in the van.

I loved my first experience with Helpers last summer!
What you see is what you get- I do not promise four stars, but true seclusion and rustic comfort only 20 minutes from the vibrant art and craft town of Deloraine.
I need help catching up with the farm and house maintenance, because there was not time to do everything while I was studying at uni. I have now graduated with MSc (Chem) after 13 years.

Autumn has arrived with variable weather, however it will be mostly cool to mild, with wonderful sunny days. The highland native fagus shrubs will soon be in autumn colours nearby at Cradle Mountain.
I have been collecting and stacking winter firewood, more firewood limbs are needed for the kitchen stove. Other farm tasks include putting in a new sheep water trough, picking apples, harvesting vegetable seed, preparing paddocks for sheep mating and always blackberry control. Fence/gate repairs ideally need someone to help me who has some previous small farm skills.

We have a one acre property with some established fruit trees. We are 20 mins from Hobart, with a bus stop within walking distance. There is a lovely river swimming spot a short walk away. Day trips to places like Bruny Island are also a reason to visit.
Current projects to choose from if you like to have a specific goal: build a chicken coop, build a rock wall, plant fruit trees, plant a native garden.
Accommodation is within my house, single bunk and share the family bathroom. Meals included.
I have two daughters, 9 and 11 years, a cat and a very friendly dog.
I'm looking for some help around the house or garden.
I am happy with short stay. Hours of work would be 3-5 hours per day.
I want to host because I enjoyed volunteering when I travelled overseas, and I love meeting like minded people. Our Island state is beautiful and everyone should spend some time here!

We are a family of four with two children aged 7 and 5. We currently have 3 goats, a small vegetable garden, chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits.

Whilst the warm weather continues, we will be working on various natural building projects including cob, straw bale and mud-brick.

We have a team of about 10 people camping at our property and helping with these projects. We need help with cooking in the camp kitchen, looking after the animals and the various natural building projects.

Please be sure to check out our website which contains more information about us:
