Are you available from mid November to early December? Would you like to spend part of your stay in London and the other part in the Norfolk countryside? Have you got some DIY skills and do you like dogs/cats? Is your English of intermediate level or above? I am looking for a disciplined and hard-working person to help with the following: Taking care of animals, housework, cleaning, some cooking and various other jobs around the house and garden. Dog and cat are part of the family - so you need to like animals, not have any allergies etc. In return I can offer a nice environment, good, home-cooked food and help with your English as I am an English teacher. If you are preparing for an English exam or need better English for job applications, this could be a good opportunity for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

VACANCY on the 28th of September to help us do some fencing!
I run a bed and breakfast here on the North Norfolk coastline, being located just half a mile from a sandy beach that you can walk to easily. I have a bike you can use but of course your own car would be a bonus to you.
I don't have children to contend with so am not looking for a built in baby sitter!
Very quiet and laid back here with lots of wildlife and natural stuff... no night clubs so you must be happy to accept that fact although there are two local pubs within walking distance and I have a tendency to enjoy a bottle of vodka on occasions or two.

TASKS ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR A MALE APPLICANT (not female, I can do female things myself!) DUE TO BEING QUITE STRENUOUS and are based outdoors, lots of woodwork related jobs and shed mending.

Four hours for five days per week, two whole free days at your choice in return for a comfortable bed, power shower and home-cooking. I always have a freshly made cake in the... more inside

We are a small horse livery yard amd wedding venue on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors with mainly horses, but also a cat, two goats, hens and two dogs. We also do weddings in the summer - check out our website so you can see our farm and the area.

It is a lovely rural area, in a beautiful setting with lots of walking on the doorstep. The nearest market town is only 1 mile away, Kirkbymoorside, which has a farmers market every Wednesday. There is a bus stop 10 minutes walk away which you can get to places like Pickering, Helmsley, Whitby and York.

The jobs in the winter are mainly mucking out the horses, putting in the fields, changing rugs, cleaning tack and if you can ride well, exercising them too. In the summer it is more help with the weddings - cleaning the barns, preparing the cabin etc. You can also ride in your spare time. The working days are flexible - usually help in the morning then afternoons off till it's time to get the horses in then you have a day and... more inside

I am not currently looking for volunteers.

Shoreham by Sea is on the south coast 6 miles west of Brighton. The houseboat moorings are on tidal mudflats and accessible from the towpath. The sea is less than 200 yards and is popular with kite and windsurfers.

The work is all involved with the maintenance and renovation of historic boats which are mostly used as houseboat accommodation. I use a minimum of new materials, aiming to create environment friendly, aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically functional living spaces. I currently am responsible for 7 boats over 30 foot and struggling with the work load. The joy of working with houseboats, (especially ours where we own our mooring plots) is that they are not subject to planning permission or buildings regulations. This allows for freedom in design which has greatly influenced my constructional style.

My design criteria are both aesthetic and engineered. I like to think my work has artistic merit but how it works, the en... more inside
