Wild mountain river semi-cleared bush retreat beside the beautiful Wild Cattle Creek, with National Park over the other side. Abundant wildlife & plant life, great swimming and camping areas. Kiwi Fruit, horses, dingoes & crazy inside cat. I am very much an 'animal person' and a dog trainer/canine behaviourist, so A LOVE OF ANIMALS IS A MUST! Pets may be welcome on application, and under control.
Music is VERY welcome - I love to have a jamm!

The accommodation caravan is old, but clean & comfortable with basic kitchen facilities and a gas heater. Bathroom facilities at the main house include a gas hot water shower over a bath on the verandah; a small hand-basin with cold running water & flush toilet inside. Washing machine run by the generator.

Power is mostly from a smallish solar system with a small generator as backup. I have satellite internet with Wi-Fi in the main house, & satellite TV.

I need help with the Kiwi Fruit, garden, bush regeneration, animals & general far... more inside

I have a 4 bedroom home in Mullum (Tallowood Estate) - @ 2mins into town - or 10mins bike ride. Or - about drive 20 mins to Byron Bay - or 30mins to Minyon Falls/ rain-forest.

There are 2 rooms avail. NOW One has a Northerly aspect - with (I gotta say) beautiful views of Mt Chincogan.
House is solar powered water/ elect & compost loo.

I'm still doing the finishing touches to the house, it needs landscaping: planning a permaculture inspired garden with aquaculture at the front, or simply unpacking IKEA boxes & putting them all together.......Still lots to do - so work around the house is my gym/ cardio routine. You're welcome to join.
I would expect around 4 hrs a day for the exchange.

I'm a single dad with an 8 yr old son - whom I share close to equally - so this home could be ideal with another single parent/ father/ mother with a similar aged child.

Mullum is close to everything & I regularly travel up to Sth Tweed, Lismore, & at times to Byron Bay. So I'm happy ... more inside

Located between Kempsey and Macksville, about 15 minutes from Grassy Head and Scotts Head surf beaches. Beautifully aspected, looking to Mt Yarrahapinni, with large forest, rain forest gullies, beautiful dam for swimming in clear water, lots of birds, goannas, kangaroos and wallabies, and a 1200 macadamia nut tree orchard. House plus separate guest cabin, latter sleeping 4+. Have had around 50 successful HelpXers over the past 5 years...they all seem to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, lovely vistas, animal and bird life, and good food and wine (we're a goon-free zone).
Around 30 of the helpers stay in touch through our Facebook group site Eungai Macadamia Workers.

Hello there,

We are a motivated family of three (yes,it's us in the photos). Our twelve year old daughter is home schooled and we operate a family business. We live at a residential property on Woolgoolga headland. The town is a coastal village located 25 minutes drive north of Coffs Harbour, making it a popular stopover point for Sydney/Brisbane travellers.

We are able to accomodate one non smoking female helper who is motivated and willing to fit into our family structure, participate in areas of garden and yard maintenance, home care, and able to interact and possibly assist in some form of cultural augmentation for our daughter (art, music, dance, language, etc). We would expect about four hours help each day.

In exchange, we trust we can provide you with a positive experience, your own room in our house, which is only a one minute stroll from the town centre, walking tracks and excellent beaches.

There are many recreational opportunities here including surfing... more inside
