I recently acquired a house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on a 2.2 ha property with a swimming pool. The house is located on a slope with a nice view over a little valley. It is isolated and quiet.
The closest village (Saint-Antoine-de-Ficalba) is 2.5 km away so a car or motor cycle is recommended if you want to visit the neighbourhood on your own.
The closest city is Villeneuve-sur-Lot and is about 15 min away from the house (by car).

If you don't have transport I can come to fetch you in any close-by city with a train station or an airport. (Cahors, Bergerac, Villeneuve,...)

There is currently no internet connection and reception of gsm signal is not reliable when the weather is cloudy. I hope to have an internet connection during the month of May. There are wifi-hotspots in some of the near villages.

The house is rented during the summer holidays and I would need some help to maintain the garden and prepare everything for the holiday season.

Urgent tasks:

Looking for help from April 2017 ...

We moved to South West France in 2013 and are enjoying integrating into the French way of life. James is fluent in French, proficient in German and has very basic Greek. I am taking weekly French classes – so French speakers would be very welcome or anyone wishing to learn the language themselves so we can help each other.

We live in a tiny commune in the countryside on a large plot of land, surrounded by sunflowers and currently occupy an apartment in a corner of one of our séchoirs (tobacco drying barns) with our 2 aged cats, Cobweb and Dusty. We also have 9 chickens at the moment who free range and then roost each night in a converted pigsty. Future plans involve more chickens and ducks, goats or sheep, maybe a piglet or 2 for the unconverted side of the pigsty and setting up a 'wild' campsite.

Helpx was recommended to us by friends and we think it's a great idea. We both have experience as volunteers in a range of areas including com... more inside

We are a couple, Anne Marie and Michel who have 4 children who don't live with us at full time. Our home is a rather big house in a small town 10 kms from Fontainebleau, surrounded with forest and with an astonished view on the Seine valley !

We have an appartment not far from our home, which needs to be fixed and Michel needs help for that. It can be not a light work because it's getting isolated and there is still a kitchen and a bathroom to build...

We'd also like a help for organizing our big and wild garden (5000 square meters; 1.2355 acre) close to the forest.
We'd like to have some help two weeks in july.

About the garden: We have been here for 12 years now and we had time to collect a good amount of tools, thick gloves, a strimmer not industrial but it works, a good petrol lawn mower, a cut hedge, two chain saws a big and a smaller one . We tried to do the gardening ourselves but now we just have no time enough to do it right.
We do the lawn mower and we cut ... more inside

After having done quite a bit of travelling around Australia and South America we have now settled down in the countryside in Britanny and have renovated an old farmhouse. The house is finished so we're now concentrating on the garden. It is 6000 square metres big, luckily we have sheep to help us out with the mowing! We also have 4 chickens, a dog and 2 cats. We are looking for 5 or 6 helpers to help us out from the 8th to the 29th of August in the garden since there will plenty of vegetables to pick. We will also need help with preparing the garden for our wedding on the 27th of August! Building dry toilets, making decorations etc. We love to cook and share seasonal products and helpers will stay in the house. We are very excited to host helpers since we were helpers on various farms in Australia, Ecuador and Canada and we loved it!

We live in an Old Farmhouse on the edge of a beautiful rural village.

Stunning accomodation internally, work continuing in the landscaped garden and on the exterior of the house - this is what we would like you to help with.

The accommodation we offer is 1st class and is ideal for one - or a couple - or two friends. You would have your own living area consisting of three bedrooms with adjoining lounge - FreeSat, TV, DVD and WiFi. Complete with shower room and toilet.

The work will be varied, interesting and skill-building, and the way we live is open and relaxed.

Working hours and tasks can be altered to suit whoever we accept and would typically be 25 hours per week with great flexibility as to how those hours fit into days. We also expect to share cooking and cleaning duties.

We look forward to having someone come to stay with us and share in our wonderful French lifestyle.

Our place is a former sheep-fold (bergerie) that we transformed 40 years ago into an autonomous (self-sustainable) eco-house.
It's quite isolated; around, there are rocks, valleys, about 180 olive trees, to be kept in shape. Help in keeping the ground clean, we have young sheep. They are now in a fenced parc, but still need protection and care. Our Border-Collie Maya is part of the gang. Firebreaks against woodfires need to be cleaned, plants planted and protected against erosion.
So help is needed as farmstay and homestay. Some in building and artwork, cooking etc. too. Short stays (1 or 2 weeks) are also welcome.

Hello!
I'm Hilde, living in Biches,Burgundy region, central France. Together with my son Robin, we started a small scale permaculture project.I took a PDC with Steve Read from the Université Populaire de Permaculture in 2012. We speak English,French, Dutch and German.

We offer a stay in the French countryside. Bedroom has 2 single beds, you may have to share the room with someone. Bathroom will be shared also. We have internet
which you can use freely. There are lots of books, and music. We eat mostly organic food and while we do eat some meat we can cater to vegetarians. If you like hiking there are

We are a B&B in the north-east of france and receive guests from France and the rest of Europe, some times even fron Taiwan, Canada or elsewhere.
We have a small herd of sheep, a pottery and are using solarpower to heat our pool and house.
We would like to have some help during the season in running our B&B. Be kind and forwarding to our guests and doing housekeeping, light maintenance work e.g. gardening, cleaning, painting etc.
We provide you with full boarding, your own room (which you have to vacate when the room is needed for paying guests) We expect you to work at least 5 hours a day 5 day / week but to help out when it gets busy in the evening or weekend. Of course you may use our pottery workshop too, I'll be delighted to teach you your first steps in pottery if you like or when you know pottery do your own thing.
