Our 90 acre farm is situated on the Hogarth Range, a low plateau surrounded by national parks about 20 minutes drive south west of Casino on the NSW north coast. Our primary crop is chemical-free macadamia nuts which we harvest from 2000 trees of several varieties. This Australian native produces a premium, oil-rich nut which is highly prized for both its fine oil and juicy nut. We also agist (graze for a friend) a small number of yearling cattle, are establishing a nursery to propagate more macadamia seedlings to expand the orchard and tend a medium-sized vegetable garden. There is a small flock of house chickens, ducks and horses.
All farm activities are carried out according to organic principles but the farm is not certified yet. Our nuts are some of the best in NSW because we do not use chemical fertilisers, insect sprays or synthetic plant treatments of any kind. There is a rich biodiversity on the farm and in the surrounding bushland is of great beauty.

Hello helpers! My name is Cam, I live on a couple acres in beautiful Main Arm, NSW (in Byron Shire) and need some help!
I cant drive for a time and with three kids, it can be, well, awkward.

The kids are awesome, Jasper is 8, Hazel is 5 and Cedar is 3. I have them 4 nights a week and need someone to help shuttle us around in a manual four-wheel drive Landcruiser.

Accomodation is in your own private, well lit room with hardwood floors, built in wardrobes and big windows looking out into the bush. Your workload would be minimal and with the house empty half the week, you can relax and soak up the Byron love!

Couples ok and an immediate start is possible.

look forward to hearing from you!

We live on two acres in a unique solar village called Billen Cliffs, not far from Nimbin, Lismore and the Border Ranges National Park. I am an author and permaculture practitioner, involved in bush regeneration projects, community development, my own home garden and orchard, and the arts. I'm looking for carpenters, bricklayers, web designers and social media marketers at the moment.

We have abundant wildlife including echidnas, wallabies, wedge-tailed eagles, and an array of birdlife. Summer is hot and wet, Autumn and Spring full of warm days and crisp nights, and basically we keep the log fire burning in winter. I run a little flock of sheep on community commons and during winter and spring we need help with the new lambs.
I have lived in East Timor where I implemented permaculture training and worked with young artists, and I love sharing my experience across cultures. Timorese language is based on Portugese, so I know a little of that language, and also want to learn Frenc... more inside
