Outback adventure on 1 million acres 450km south of Alice Springs and 250km north of Coober Pedy. We are a family owned & operated cattle station, looking for a single person for long-term stay after initial 2 week trial. We are friendly people who understand the value of having someone willing to have a go. We are always happy to share our knowledge & experience with those willing to learn. Semi self-contained (queen bed, tv, air con) separate to our house accommodation with shower/toilet. TV & DVD player in cabin. Shared meat based meals. Vegetarians would starve to death here.

Work includes gardening, construction, concreting, stock work & general duties around the homestead like painting and shifting furniture. I may also require help with watching the children (don't worry - I don't expect you to have them 24/7) and some help around the house during school terms is great too - as I teach both children through Alice Springs School of the Air. If you have a special skill I... more inside

160 ha farm with cattle, horses and a vineyard 60 km south of Adelaide. There is 80 ha of heritage listed native vegetation with a beautiful dam and walking trails. The cottage is a b&b so is often not available. We do not live on the farm, but 15 mins drive away in Willunga, so it is preferable to have your own transport. Willunga is a heritage town an hour south of Adelaide, and is part of the McLaren Vale Wine Region. We try to give our helpex guests some cultural experience in exchange for a very mixed range of jobs. We would love to hear from you if you plan to come to South Australia

I am currently renovating my home, a 1940's double brick bungalow house, originally built by my late grandfather and which I updated and extended in the mid1980's.
It is a large home with 3 bedrooms, well appointed kitchen with m/wave, wall oven, gas hot plates and own guest fridge, formal dining room, big family room with pool table and outdoor bbq and entertaining area with fire pit and pleasant gardens.
Ducted air conditioning for summer and wood fire in winter means comfort all year round.
The guest bedroom has queen size bed, b/i robes and a desk.
I enjoy cooking and creating good food experiences with friends and family. Expect gourmet charcoal bbq, homemade pizzas, lasagne, Thai dishes and fresh local seafood when available. And of course, South Aussie wines, especially big bold Barossa and Clare shiraz.
Whyalla is a modern, coastal city with fabulous beaches dotted along the Eyre Peninsula and amazing outback experiences of the Gawler Ranges within easy drive.
