Description:

My place is an old grain-mill, with lots of fruit trees, vegetables and 3 cats. It has a big water deposit that is used as a pool in the summer. Work depends on the season. The house is in a valley so the land is organized in terraces. Work consists of weeding, pruning, painting, fruit picking. The vegetable garden is expanding. I expect people motivated to work outside with their hands and their heads. You can learn a lot at my place, doing and being! Mostly people stay around 2 or 3 weeks. For people who want to stay longer in the area, there are many others in the neighbourhood offering. A hippie-village Beneficio is close by, no drugs, no dogs allowed on my farm. Because of some bad experiences with Beneficio, I would ask to keep contacts to a minimum. Orgiva is one of the most cosmopolitan villages in Andalucia, Spain, half the population is foreign, lot's of alternative living. For more questions and answers, don't hesitate to ask. I speak dutch, french, engl... more inside

We are a large British family living in a breathtaking spot in the mountains of Spain with views out over the Mediterranean towards Ibiza (we are situated midway between Valencia and Alicante). We live in a wooden solar and wind-powered house.

Phil and Jo (a teacher and musician) are just turning 50 and have 5 children between the ages of 11 and 21 (the oldest is now studying music in England). We speak English at home, but all of us speak good Spanish and the 'parents' speak French, German and Russian as well.

We have an organic smallholding (horses, goats, donkey, chickens, rabbits, fruit trees and vegetables).

We are looking for individuals or couples to stay for free in return for help around the house, with the animals and vegetable garden. There will also be some building and gardening projects. We expect 5 hours honest work a day in return for full board and accommodation, but are flexible as to how and when that work is done.

The accommodation is in a caravan... more inside

Our family lives in a small village near Cangas de Onis in Asturias, Northern Spain. I live with my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. I run a small travel company from my home office. My kids go to the local school. I would love some help with playing with the kids and projects in the garden. We live in a very beautiful area so ideal for people who like the outdoors. We speak English and Spanish. My children love being outdoors, looking after our chickens, painting, making things, cooking, learning to read. We have lots of friends here and could introduce a helper to lots of different experiences here. I spent a year exchange volunteering in Australia and New Zealand many years ago and have travelled all over the world and enjoy meeting people. Would like my kids to meet people from different cultures and widen their horizons! At the moment we would like some help preparing our vegetable garden and making a tree house!

We are in Freginals in the Montsia region of Tarragona. There are lots of things to do in the area and the mountains are excellent for hiking.
We have two bicycles available and take our volunteers sightseeing too. The accomodation is a cute casita.

If you fancy two or more weeks in a pretty little valley spot with six dogs, a flock of sheep and a naughty donkey and pony then let us know. : )
We have some spaces available for February for olive tree

UPDATE: It is fairly cold in the evenings, which are long, and the communal shack is not draught proof yet and there is no hot shower so its pretty rugged here, only suitable for fairly tough cookies! so if you send me a request, let me know you're ready for it!
there are plenty of blankets and we have a fire most evenings so if you know how to look after yourself you'll be fine.

Hello all, i'm just starting out here in sunny sub tropical Malaga.

I am renting a beautiful strip of wild land by the coast of one of the last stretches of unspoilt mediterranean Spain. The land is a 5 minute walk from a nice village, Maro, and a 20 minute walk from tourist town Nerja.

I'd like to start up the vegetable garden again, and would sincerely appreciate some help!

Also doing some light construction on A simple cabin, help from anyone experienced with wood extra welcome obviously!

At the moment there are few mod cons! So accommodation would be in a tent, which I can supply.

We are a country family with two children. We live in Llanos de Somerón, a small village of 25 people in the Cantabrian mountains, North of Spain. Llanos is close to Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Nature Park, Biosphere Reserve, where bears or wolves are our neighbours too.

Our home is an unfinished building that we would like to make into a mountain hostel. For these reason, we mainly need the help of construction workers or people with knowledge of building. So far, we have already prepared and organized the area of the house for the construction but we need assistance to start the work, which will be walling up inside the house.

We also own an organic farm where we enjoy growing a famous local pea and other vegetables destinated to our self supply.
We offer you good food (some organic products/hand made), a chance to learn spanish language and local cuisine, and an organic gardening experience.

We love nature and these mountains, that's why we live here!. Would you like to "helpx"... more inside
