We are on a large cattle station in SW Qld.
Our property is in the Mulga country, that means we are in the red dirt with loads of trees and the wildlife to go with it.

There are kangaroos everywhere, at night you can actually see the stars, we have an echidna that lives in our back yard and the closest neighbors are 20 minutes down the road.
We have pigs, chickens (for the eggs), a large vegetable garden, aquaponics, almost twenty working dogs, a mad green bird (that doubles as a guard dog) and a few poddy calves that sometimes like to visit for treats.

The closest town is Charleville, it is 100 km away. It has plane, train and bus transport, we can pick you up there or if you have a vehicle we can give you directions.
The help we would like is flexible but as we have young children you would have to like kids, they go with us most of the time when we are working.

We will provide all meals and have your own quarters with kitchen if you'd rather cook your own food. Veg... more inside

Family home on the Sunshine Coast open to female or male backpackers.
We have many small mechanical and odd jobs in unfinished states, that we need assistance completing. My husband has a back injury and isn't physically able to undertake these tasks. We would dearly enjoy help from a fit and able backpacker.
Our hobby is caring for injured or orphaned wildlife, so our home is always host to an array of native animals.
In return we offer a separate downstairs flat with en-suite bathroom, local transport, hearty home cooked meals, a warm and hilarious family atmosphere, close to idyllic beaches, Australia zoo, Aussie world, Underwater world.
Must be cheerful, willing to take the inititative and be full of fun....
We always open our home to backpackers and delight in learning about different cultures.
Please message us as we'd love to meet you!

This is a beef cattle property, running about 5,000 head on 90,000 acres in Northern Queensland. We are a family business, two brothers, their wives and 7 young children, that enjoy having the company of great people.

Your accomodation will be clean and basic, you have your own private bedroom and you share bathroom and toilet facilities with our family.

We look forward to hosting anyone who would enjoy an outback experience and getting involved with all aspects of our life.

We work 7 days a week, early mornings and full days. If you are prepared to throw yourself fully into our lifestyle, you will have lots of laughs, new experiences and take away a real understanding of living in the Australian bush.

You will receive as much as you give!

Our wet season traditionally extends from Dec through to March. During this period we experience very hot temperatures, 40 degrees with extreme humidity, so if you are unaccustomed to these temps it may be better to plan to ... more inside

One or more strong Helpers needed at Mengyuan, situated 10 minutes west of Gin Gin. We work hard, but also play hard. After a hard day's work there is nothing better than relaxing in the outdoor heated massaging spa, watching a sky full of meteors, and a glass of your favorite poison in hand. Make no mistake, the work is hard, especially on a hot day, so you need to be strong and committed. Helpers get to stay in the very comfortable five bedroom house, which is also a B&B when we want, and have use of all guest facilities, including spa, pool table, table tennis, board games, TV, DVD/VCD movies, darts, etc. The work usually revolves around preparation for selling the property and businesses, and includes gardening (weeding, edging, mowing), orchard maintenance, olive grove maintenance, tractor maintenance, fencing, irrigation, pruning, road repair, regrowth removal, etc. There are three donkeys who will love you death, especially when you feed them sweet potato, and of course the u... more inside

Our farm is located 2 hours north of Brisbane in the Noosa Hinterlands, a short drive to Noosa, Gympie, Rainbow Beach, or Fraser Island. We breed a small herd of huacaya alpacas for quality fleece. There's always something to do but it's not always hard work because we enjoy socialising with our friends too.

We enjoy visitors and sharing experiences with people from all over the world.

There's always something to do in and around the house, helping with the animals, general farm maintenance, the scope is endless and any help is appreciated by us.

We are a family of 5 who live on acrerage about 20 minutes from Bundaberg. It is a very quiet, rural area. We have chickens, cats, dogs and a horse. We need assistance with animal care, gardening, and housework.
We ask that each helper does approximately 4 hours of work per day in exchange for accomodation and the main meals of the day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also ask, that helpers can assist with the preparation/cleaning up of the meal at night.

We are happy to pick people up from Bundaberg if they do not have their own transport. We have enjoyed having a number of helpx people come to stay and they have enjoyed their time with our family.

We now have wireless internet available which allows for reliable internet access.
