Independent room in the house, someone independent and to live-in as family. I have four grown up children, not living with me, and when working during the summer months, I can't take the dogs with me. French community, with some English. May to October.

Good morning everyone,

We are a young couple who wants to create a beer brewery and a production of aromatic and medicinal plants, all organic.
Before that, we need to fix and repair our "home". It's a house close to a ruin :) and these days we're living in trailers and the grange beside the house.
It's pretty like "Into the wild" movie, use to say our friends from Paris...but not really, it's kind of hard when the weather is bad but pretty cool by summer.
Especially when you appreciate animals (chicken, duck, dogs, sheeps).

Don't worry ! We have water, electricity and internet, and good meal !

We need help to fix our home and work in our garden. We'll stay all time, working together. We work usually half of the day in the house, afternoon is free, but of course you can give a us an extra in the garden if you want. Everything is adaptable.

We think that you already know but we prefer to prevent : our life is very rustic, for the moment we don't have a real shower, we ... more inside

We live on a 25 hectare estate in a beautiful and tranquil part of France, close to the Pyrenees mountains, the Mediterranean sea, and some grand historical sites. One of the pictures below shows us with what looks like clouds in the background, but its actually the snow clad tops of the mountains. Le Puget is a working farm with good quality gites / bandb accommodation, pretty gardens, a swimming pool, and open rolling farmland. There is a lot of wildlife, especially birds of all sorts.

Our priority for 2016 is to tidy up the grounds. We are looking for helpers who can want to clear land, fell trees, cut them into logs, and stack them with us. This is enjoyable work but very physical and will suit fit, strong people.

We can offer you a simple but comfortable independent en suite room, access to a kitchen, wifi, use of the pool and grounds. We are about 15 minutes from the nearest market town, so you will get the best from your experience here if you have your own tra... more inside

I am looking for help with carpentry work and plumbing.

The poly tunnel needs doors - as seen in the pictures before I order the plastic. Any one with carpentry skills would be very much appreciated!

Also I need to sort out the extra bathrooms and a solar hot water system. Help on this would be very much appreciated.

Summary: I need help in our life here! Sustainable living. Vegetarian. Building with cob. New poly tunnel being built. Creating a more living space in the roof and a bathroom. Large gardens for growing most of the food eaten here. Lots of processing and preserving. Also make yoghurt and goats cheese. Next year I'm looking at building a "tiny house" sans permit, primarily using the resources available here.

I'm Zoe and I'm the owner of this place. I used to work in the IT industry but stepped out over 10 years ago. I work hard growing and processing food for eating all year round. I'm in the same sort of area as Carol Deppe, the Resilient Gardener, my main cr... more inside

Now retired here in Normandy, in a stunning part of the area bordering Swiss Normandy, we breed pedigree highland ponies related to hmm queens ponies, we exhibit them around the country type shows in the UK breeding stock retained in France, a rare breed of some of the best ponies in the world, the farm was derelict when we took it over, since being here volunteers have researched the history discovering it's not victorian but built in 1050 by benedictine monks taken over by cisteclans, it was a secret location which is why it's still standing no one knew it existed, why so secret the Bishops were grand masters templers (look up priory of St Anne. ). All we need is a geophysical machine, time team and let's find the rest. Masses has been found with metal detector, our volunteers have a gt time. We have met some wonderfully talented people of all ages, many our age,, old.. ha ha. Varied skills, we tend to let you decide what u feel like doing good and we do it finish it.
