This finca is our home, with two one bedroom holiday cottages surrounding a tropical garden. We are 2km from the nearest through road, therefore your own transport would be preferable, but we have two fully serviced mountain bikes with helmets available for use during your stay with us.
We are a very active couple nearing retirement age and we now need help with the annual maintenance of our land and boarders.
The work would consist of hedge cutting, tree pruning and general gardening work and repairing stone walls. There may be the possibility of limited property maintenance.
The helpx would be required for a week or two in January or February

Accommodation will be provided in one of the cottages that are used for holiday rentals in the summer. The cottage is self catering, with a TV and twin beds. All linen and towels will be supplied.

Vegetables from our garden, eggs from our chicken and other food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for self catering.

Hi,
We are a spanish couple(34 years old)who live in the centre area of Asturias, in the north of Spain (near to the main cities). Five minutes walking from the house you have buses to cities (Oviedo, Aviles, Gijon).
We have a small house in a lovely village, with garden and a typical building of this area which is named "horreo".
I am chemical engineer and my husband works in a aluminium factory. We speak spanish and a little english.
We are looking for a person (english speaking) who help us to improve our english. We offer accomodation and all meals in exchange for 4-5 hours of english classes.
We don't have any pets and we prefer someone who likes all kind of food( meat, fish, vegetables,...)

Our Hostel is among the first and most well known (and largest) hostels in San Sebastian, one of the most culturally rich, eventful and intriguing cities in all of Europe. Volunteers work in reception, tending to the needs of customers and meeting people from around the world every day. We believe in providing a positive, lively atmosphere for a variety of people looking for the best possible experience in their travels. This goal is aimed towards our guests AND our volunteers.

Volunteers work in reception, greeting guests as they arrive and checking them out when they leave. Aside from this, reception volunteers also run the hostel snack bar and occasional activities for the guests.

All volunteers get a private room, free breakfasts, occasional commissions from activities and random tasks, 100% profit from the snack bar and never have to pay rent or utilities.

I tell the two sides of our business and you tell me where you look (if you have friends in the same situation, házselo arrive):

- On the part of ecotourism: we have a cottage 4 Double in operation and two double rooms that could be enabled on the lower deck.

- For the Agroecology: about 500 m from the cottage, on the outskirts of town, we have a farm of about 6 Has that we would repopulate with crops of two greenhouses of 500 m2 each, with greenhouses have the well, water tank and shed for tools with light and water they reinvest thought the "benefits" of other business and mount an organic farming school, but these days we do not get or to offset expenses.

We all mounted less experience and dedication necessary (my mother is about to retire and is negotiating with a gardener transfer area of ??the greenhouses, but I prefer to continue to invest in eco-adventure). So do collaborations with environmental groups that offer courses or use our facilities to "rehearse"... more inside

We are a couple who moved from the city (Paris) to try to live closer to nature and to grow fruit and vegetables.
Weve decided to move to Andalucia in a place called "El Minchal" on a mountain on the coastal part of the province of Granada.
We are in the early stages with our neighbours of being a eco-hamlet (ecoaldea) and although we are not a community as such, we get together regularly.

Lovisa is swedish and Alex is french. We speak english, french, swedish and learning spanish. We dont use any chemicals as we want to have as little negative impact on our surrounding as possible.
We currently live in a yurt and own a small caravan for guests and have a small wood cabin with a green roof (needs planting!) that I use as my wood workshop.
We are looking for people to give us a hand in our everyday work which varies depending on the season and strength of the individual.
-picking almonds and olives
-planting or preparing the earth
-weeding and cleaning (sorting)
-tree tri... more inside

Most of the work to do is weeding.

I talk french, english and spanish. I like to climb and close to the farm there is a indoor climbing to enjoy

NOTE: right now I have a friend living in the cave and working in the farm, therefore by the moment I wont need helpers. I'll make you know when the cave will be free, thanks!
