Its a great base for tourism around Melbourne or the Yarra Valley or Dandenong Ranges. Vegetarian food provided but you'll need to cook it. Transport and a loan car available by negotiation.

Excellent location in Melbourne, just 5km from the CBD, and many lifestyle options within walking distance. A very popular tourist location for seeing Melbourne.

We live in a beautiful but very remote part of the Alpine National Park in the mountains of Victoria. There is great bush walking, horse riding, mountain biking, white water rafting (seasonal), local history right on our front door. We have probably no more than 30 people who live within a radius of 30 kilometres of our property, although we do have a very unique little country pub with lots of characters and visitors only a kilometre from our place. Our home has 3 lovely decks looking over the beautiful Bundara River. We do not have television, however we do have email and internet access (not always guaranteed) even though we provide our own electricity via solar and a micro hydro power system in the river that forms one part of our property boundary. We also provide our own water pumped from the same source.
There is always plenty of work to do around the place. We would be keen to hear from anyone interested in helping with gardening, stonework, brush clearing and other ... more inside

We're a happy little house of one adult and two kids in the little country town of Creswick. It's in the forest and 15 minutes from Ballarat (a large regional centre) and 1.5 hours from Melbourne. Among other things, Creswick has an amazing patisserie-boulangerie that is perfect when you need a little taste of France! Weve got a large backyard with lots of weeds and far too much grass nothing too technical needs doing, just maintenance and tidying that I dont get time for. And general housekeeping stuff. But if you have any particular skills, Im open to suggestion.
Im a musician and wine researcher and speak fluent French and a little Spanish. The kids (10 & 12 years old) speak a bit of French and were all travellers at heart. We'd love to have you come and stay with us if you speak French or Spanish and youd like to do some gardening and housework, and share our table and stories.

We are a well traveled couple with a delightful almost 4 year old daughter and have lived abroad, spending many years in Southeast Asia. We are now resident in Mount Martha on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and would welcome some help with gardening, fruit tree pruning, lawn mowing and housework. We have plans to build a chicken coop but that's on the to-do list - let us know if you have the skills! We are seeking four hours a day, (five days a week) in exchange for delicious food and accommodation. We can cater for some food allergies including coeliacs and lactose intolerant.

No smoking in the house but acceptable outside. We enjoy cooking and food and we look forward to cross cultural exchanges. We can speak some Vietnamese (reasonable), Indonesian (basic), Cambodian (basic) and school French...(basic) and would love the exposure for our daughter.

We are about 2km from the beach, 10 mins walk to a large shopping centre and have bicycles you can ride around town. There ... more inside

*Currently looking for helpers for November for painting (inside) and gardening. No previous experience needed.
*We are also looking for a carpenter/builder to help build a tree house - dates are flexible

We are a friendly and active family with 3 children (aged 9, 7 and 2), 1 dog, guinea pigs and chickens. We live on a large, mostly native block that backs onto the Yarra River where you can swim and kayak. We have a big vegetable garden and our home is solar powered.

Right now we are looking for helpers who like gardening, including mulching, weeding and planting. We also have some painting and cleaning jobs and if you like children and dogs there are opportunities for baby sitting and long walks in the bush.

We welcome all nationalities (Meg speaks Spanish) and can cater for vegetarians or other dietary requirements. No smokers please.

We have renovated a luxurious historic homestead located on edge of Shepparton in Victoria which has some B&B accommodation. The garden is 2 hectares with forests, a lake and a sunken garden. It is used for weddings, garden tours, wedding receptions and small functions. It is located 180km north of Melbourne in the heart of the fruit and wine region of Victoria and 40 minutes from the mighty Murray River. To view photos of the property go to the website listed above and a video of the property on YouTube. Our garden was in the Australian open garden scheme for 20 years and is often used for charity events. It is very large to maintain in peak condition and we would love you to come and assist us with the garden and homestead maintenance. In particular our organic vegie garden becomes overgrown very quickly at times and we use the produce from this to feed our guests or make home made preserves, pickles and chutneys. Dependent on the time of year your stay could involve anything fro... more inside

On the edge of Strathbogie township, I care for chooks, a beautiful garden and many trees (exotic, native, fruit and nut). Echidnas reside and Koalas often visit its a very peaceful setting with spectacular views and only 2hrs. North of Melbourne.

Currently vegie gardening, mulching trees and outdoor painting are the main tasks and theres more to choose from. Daily work is 3-4 hours and theres often local activities to join in. The community is diverse and strong.
Beautiful forest and swimming holes nearby. Mt. Wombat is 5 minutes away and bushwalking here is a must-do. Much to see in this granite country.

I enjoy spending time with people and also time to myself. Good food, good fun, creative expression and meaningful connection are important to me.
Comfortable accommodation in house or bungalow (see photo) non-smokers please children most welcome. Meals are shared and local/organic, mostly vegetarian.
