We've got a space for a lovely volunteer from now here in Dorset. We have a large permaculture kitchen garden and grow all our own veg, keep sheep and goats. We always have about 3 HelpX helping us, right now we are looking for someone to help in our organic café serving healthy meals, home-made with produce from the kitchen garden, Italian coffees, etc, Across the yard is our home store in an old squash court, selling vintage & lifestyle products. We have 2 Spanish girls and a lovely french girl helping us in the garden and cafe, but we can always use extra hands. Previous experience useful but not essential, but a good attitude towards customers always helps. 6 hours a day work, 5 days a week to include Saturday. Volunteers live in their own house on the estate, and we provide all food and basics. Minimum one month stay would be good, if anyone is looking for a stay from now up until the end if the year, that would be great. This is a very friendly place to work and a great p... more inside

Hello there!

We are looking for some new friends to help us Co-Host our hostel from now until November 5th.

We are a 60 bed backpackers hostel based in an old Wesleyan Chapel in the centre of St Ives, Cornwall. We have plethora of people who stay with us from international backpackers, independent travelers, families, walkers, surfers and seasonal workers (people who work a summer season in St Ives). We're within walking distance of four beaches including Porthmeor surfing beach which is home to the Swell Board Shoot Out in June!

St Ives is a beautiful busy seaside town (google it) located in remote west Cornwall; we're surrounded by cliffs, beaches, stunning scenery and some amazing attractions. Nearby we have St Michael's Mount, the Minack Theatre (both must-sees), Lands End and tin mines.

There are 2 positions available, both for approximately 15 hours a week.

A housekeeping and a hostel cleaning position is available: We need a housekeeper to help us change bed... more inside

Hello, this hostel has 20 spaces for volunteer working travelers.

We hope your time can bring value in the hostel visitor experiences and in you visiting Liverpool.

We offer a min 4 weeks because it takes time to ensure each member who joins can manage a shift on their own. If you learn fast and work shifts on your own after 3-4 days of training. Its simple and very logical; check in, check out, breakfast, cleaning, baggage storage, where to go in Liverpool etc.

The work is 4X shifts a week, working 4 hours per shift and each shift is mixed of computer updates of bookings, responding to emails, breakfast setup, cleaning, checking in the guest, etc.

*** Also please make sure you have the proper visa to volunteer here in UK check with your countries rules and regulations / UK Border Agency. You can use this website to easily find out if you need a VISA or not https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa If you are unsure just ask us. ***

Thanks
Best Regards,
Daren.

We are a free range, semi self sufficient dairy farm, milking cows once a day on a rotary parlour.
We are looking for people to come and share our home, join in with family meals and our family life. In return we would like some help with milking most mornings so some experience would be very useful but not essential.
There is an old tractor that has been half way restored so if you enjoy tinkering with ancient mechanics this could be for you!
We also need help in the garden. There is a large vegetable garden which is sadly neglected and needs some TLC to get it back to being a productive organic vegetable source for the house.
Keeping the farm clean and tidy and helping move cows from field to field. About 4 hours help a day.
We are very remote and rural, the nearest shop is 5 miles away. There is a great country pub 3 miles away. We are an hour's drive from the North Devon coast with great surfing.
Over the last 10 years we have lots of Aussies and Kiwis stay wi... more inside

SEPTEMBER 2017 UPDATE: I am looking for someone to stay for 2 weeks, anytime from now to the end of November.

Small cottage on the South Downs, 8 miles north of Brighton.
Very beautiful rural location with lovely walks along the Downs.

PLEASE NOTE: this is a small residential home and NOT a farm or smallholding.

The cottage and garden need renovation. Help is required in the garden. Some digging would be involved as well as plenty of weeding, clearing of rubbish, mowing lawns and planting. Anyone interested? I also need someone who can sand, paint and decorate the interior of the cottage; these skills would be helpful. Any builders would also be most welcome.

4 FULL day’s work and 3 days off, in return for accommodation, evening meals, and possibly some sightseeing. Preferably 10 days to two weeks, however, I would consider longer stays for the right person (or couple). I am happy to help with English lessons if required. The cottage is a little chaotic... more inside

Looking for help between now and December.

Main project to get the vegetable garden and poly tunnel tidy and ready for the winter. You will need wellington boots and a waterproof jacket. It is not easy work as you will be digging the ground to bring up potatoes, removing weeds and old plants.

We have a small holding of sheep, chickens, two lovely horses and a very friendly smelly dog (Basset Hound) who will come to you for attention and a stroke.

Our 200+ year old country cottage is open to any females aged 19+.

Duties may also include :
* feeding and generally helping to look after the animals
* mucking out the stables
* clearing horse manure from the field
* grooming horses
* feeding the small flock of sheep
* cleaning out the chicken houses
* cleaning the house
* generally helping with household duties.

It is not easy work, but 5 hours are expected each day.

Despite being in the countryside, we are lucky to be on a direct bus route to Cant... more inside

We are a family of 3, myself, husband and Coco who is 1 and a half.
I am an ethical Taxidermist and artist taking time out to look after our baby and renovate our new house in bristol. As it turns out, its pretty tricky trying to do ANYTHING with a small child so we are looking for someone who is very good at DIY, can paint and has exceptional eye for detail.

We are a fun, creative family who love socialising, being outdoors and would enjoy showing someone around Bristol.
There is a single bed spare room for our guest to stay in, and we would be looking for some one to stay and eat with us in exchange for 5 hours per day or flexible times depending on what you would like to do during your visit.

The help we are looking for would mainly consist of painting and decorating, a bit of carpentry if possible and some garden work. We are very happy to help with any english language skills and showing off our beautiful city.

For food, we eat pretty much everything but try and ma... more inside

We are an environmental education project located in the Forest of Dean that provides a space for people to connect with nature and learn more about it. We provide fantastic opportunities for volunteers to take their own initiative, be creative and learn more about community living and our impact on the environment, as well as taking personal introspective time to listen to our own inner landscapes.

We are currently looking for long term people who are interested in being a part of a live-in community and the EarthHeart vision. For people who want to be engaged in meaningful work and be a part of the change so many of us feel passionate to see happen. EarthHeart provides this as well as a space / context for people to develop their own passions and gifts to the world. In this regard there is opportunity to create extra income for yourself and develop your own purpose and business. We are looking for people who can take initiative and are creative, want to be a part of a communit... more inside

I'm glad to say that I have Helpxers organised until about June 2018 to assist with my Airbnb. If you'd like offer your help beyond that time, do drop me a line. If you have a specific skill such as carpentry, carpet-laying, general DIY skills, and would like a few days near the seaside in exchange for doing a few jobs around my house, I'd welcome hearing from you at any time as I can usually accommodate an extra person short-term.

About me:
I'm a composer/songwriter/choirmaster/educator. I'm the world's first and only songwriter-in-residence with a Science Festival, with MIT in the USA, where I spend a few weeks each spring. I'm a single gay man, aged 61, and hold very liberal views both politically and socially. You can discover more about me by searching for "Puzjig" on Facebook or Instagram.

About the HelpXer I'm seeking:

I've been an AirBnb host since October 2016, and I've had a very busy summer with almost continous bookings, back-to-back. My Helpxers so far h... more inside
