*********** I will be looking for help again this spring ********* time to get the allotment going ******* my offer is well suited to a couple *******
I am a busy environmental professional who has worked all over the world, but am now trying to create my own little Eden at home.
I am offering a home stay - the room is a modest double suitable for an individual or a couple - in the fantastic city of Bristol. Bristol has a really vibrant culture, with a strong maritime history and lively music, arts, festival and local food scene.
I am looking for help from an energetic individual or even better a couple of HelpXers to lend a hand with my home and garden renovation, and allotment maintenance. The kind of tasks that need doing is help with exterior painting, shed roof repairs, digging and weeding, and sorting out the allotment water saving and irrigation system.
My home is situated in north east Bristol, and is on the Number 6 bus link into the centre of the city which takes... more inside

This is my very first listing on helpx.net and it went live on Feb 10th 2017 . . . the Red Berry Field site is just reaching the stage where we can begin to invite helpers to visit - the facilities at the moment are fairly basic, but we will be steadily making improvements, and we look forward to learning how best to work with helpx visitors.

Please bear with us as we learn and improve :)

The 6 uploaded photos have been chosen to show the general nature and situation of the site and what's contained here.

We are a mainly off-grid rural site on the North side of Kit Hill (East Cornwall local landmark) with a traditional Cornish cottage, stone barn (yet to be converted into living accommodation) and 6-acre [2 hectare] field.

The site faces more or less due North towards Dartmoor [visible on the horizon beyond the off-white Yurt in one photo].
I live in that Yurt [16ft diameter] on the field. A young couple (Lea & Emma) occupy another Yurt, and have 3 young children betwe... more inside

We run a small, attractive 4 bedroom guest house, in picturesque St Ives Cornwall, England, which is very close to the surfing Porthmeor Beach.

We are offering a short-term, part-time opportunity, for 2 months covering the period Mid April - June 2018. We are happy to consider candidates for shorter term contracts, (minimum of 4 weeks.) We are very flexible on the timings and happy to negotiate dates.
Approx 20 hours per week - spread across 6 mornings/early afternoons. Our helper will work alongside the very friendly management couple who run the guesthouse - sharing all aspects of their work - though no cooking will be required.
It is a happy, friendly and laid-back environment, with a very strong customer focus. Candidates should be prepared to roll up their sleeves and help with all aspects of service - breakfast service, general chambermaid work and light laundry duties
In return, we can offer:-

Private, self-contained and fully equipped studio accommodation - plea... more inside

Looking for someone MARCH 2018
Are you available for at least 4 weeks? Do you have experience with horses/ponies? Housework? Gardening?
We are a Riding holiday centre with 14 ponies and other animals (goats, chickens, guinea pigs and geckos!
We are in the Lincolnshire Fens - flat fertile farmland on the East Coast of England. It is a very rural area, about 6 miles to the nearest town, but there is a station 2 miles away and a demand responsive bus which comes past the farm (but not often!).
I am in a wheelchair (paraplegic) and struggle along with 2 full time girls so any help around the farm with garden, children, ponies or other animals would be great for us. You would be welcome any time of the year.
In return for your work we can offer you a nice room in the farmhouse and home cooked food plus some horse riding. You need to be versatile and do a bit of everything, as no day is ever the same here! Someimes the work outside mucking out can be physically hard.

We have a log gasification boiler heating system and a lot of land.
We need help managing fuel for our log gasification boiler heating system [basically toting and stacking logs] and general strong help around this overgrown homestead and woodlands. We can provide ACCOMMODATION ONLY [ with perhaps the odd group Banksfoot meal or baking treat thrown in for fun]
and therefore ask for less hours per week than others- one 8 hour day per full week's stay.
If you are staying in a caravan, we would ask one 8 hour day for a full week's stay. Electricity or logs for your own fire are fine but will 'cost' extra hours.

You will have your own great big Georgian room [huge windows], a bed, sheets and towels, amazing views, spa bath tub and wifi tv heated shed.
You will have your own fridge/use of our kitchen so you can feed yourself.
The farm is situated right on the Roman Wall Walking route. Local sites include various Mile Castles [Our farm hosts the tallest bit of the wall still st... more inside

We consider the hostel our home and all its people our family. We want the volunteers help us make all guests coming through to feel as a part of this family.

Hello helpers

Welcome to our listing page.

We are looking for a couple of people at the moment:

1/ Someone to do carpentry, simple building work or gardening now.

1/ A woman who could come any time from now and help us with cleaning, cooking healthy food and gardening. We are looking for someone able to look after a home well as well as live and work independently and who is happy to explore and make use of the many wonderful things happening in the area.

A bit about us: We are a family of 3 and 2 cats. We are living in a beautiful part of Devon, at the edge of fields and stunning views but very close to Totnes, one of the most alternative towns in the UK. We are involved in holistic work with families, from pregnancy onwards, running a small computer business and offering accommodation (mostly in the summer).

We offer two different kinds of exchanges:
