We are a family of four, with two boys, aged 3 and 8 months. We are easy going, and enjoy the quiet life. We look forward to meeting and experiencing people from other cultures. Holly is English, Andy is Australian. We are happy to help people learning English.

We live in a mobile home / static caravan in a small community not far from Glastonbury (~10 miles), in the countryside. We are keen gardeners, and have an allotment nearby. We are a vegan household, and love cooking and sharing food.

We have been helpx volunteers several times around the world and are keen to get some help ourselves!

At the moment we need help with general DIY and cleaning/painting, keeping the baby entertained, and we love being cooked for! Help is also needed at the allotment. We would expect around 4 hours work a day, with 2 days off a week. 3 meals a day. We are flexible with working times.

Accommodation is in 'the West Wing', your own mobile home / caravan which is currently under renovatio... more inside

We have 8 acres of woodland with streams and river - good for walking, as is nearby Bodmin moor. We are about 30 minutes from the nearest seaside and 10 minutes from the nearest town, Callington. Our vegetable garden is raised beds on a sloping site, soft fruit area and orchard. We have a friendy cat, Maisie.

We live in an eco-house which we designed and did a lot of the work on. We generate our own electricity by a photo voltaic system and our water supply is from a woodland spring. Accommodation is comfortable - own double room. We are not vegetarian but are happy to cater for vegetarians.. We have good wireless internet access.

Help mostly needed in woodlands and garden - getting in wood, and maintaining patas, clearing brambles etc.

And in the summer, harvesting fruit, tending to the veg garden, etc

Our daughter and family are next door and also need help in their woodlands. So helpers can have more variety and young company. Jess is a botanical illustrato... more inside

Pentiddy is a family run Permaculture and woodland project on a 27 acre holding- consisting of a small flock of sheep, a few ducks and lots and lots of trees including a small orchard.
We have built our own cruck framed straw bale house, with a new natural swimming pond and we also run a natural burial site.

Approx. 13 acres is existing woodland and most of the remainder is new planting of coppice, much with public access.

Hi, we are a couple running a not for profit organisation which includes a health shop in Whitby, North Yorkshire. We live in a village on the North Yorkshire Moors called Goathland, which is a beautiful rural location. We have recently moved in and the land needs some attention with clearing, preparing, planting, weeding and grass cutting. We also need some help in our health shop in Whitby and are looking for a couple ideally who can help us both with the land and the shop. We would like help for 3 full days per week for each helper, in return for accommodation and provision of food which the helpers would usually cook for themselves, though we would cook meals sometimes for us all to share. The accommodation would be a cabin close to the garden which has a main kitchen/dining/sitting area with wood burning stove (fuel supplied), separate bedroom and bathroom with washing machine. The photos below show some of the garden & house, (the cabin is close by) & also a photo of the local ... more inside

We are looking for a handyperson/carpenter/builder.
We would welcome someone to assist with various building, maintenance and repair projects around our house, outbuildings and garden.
We are a family of four/five + 2 dogs and some chickens.
We all live in a scenic, very rural area of Surrey next to several farms and stables. London is 78 kms away.
Our house is a cottage with a garden. The nearest village is about 2km away The five of us are: Noel (librarian); Louise (teacher); Jannie (brother of Louise, retired): Jan (20, mostly at university) and Flavia (17 who likes art and animals). We also have a lodger.
Work is needed for about five hours daily, five days a week. The person should be friendly and outgoing, this could be a position for a more mature helper. Longish term stay is preferred.
In exchange we offer board and lodging, in a studio in the garden. There is Wi-Fi, computers and TV. The locality is brilliant for running, walking, biking and swimming.
