In the house we accommodate for Air bnb and need help maintaining the rooms. Also outside we have a vegetable garden and grass etc that needs to be kept. We also keep a chicken and a dog named Indy. Most of the work required is to do with the garden but you will be guided as to what to do.
During your time off there is a lot to see and do in the area. We have bike that can be used to get around so helpers need to be ok with that. We play music also so at night if you are keen there is usually a session or a gig on in the bars that you can come along to... and join in if you'd like.

FEMALES ONLY AT THE MOMENT PLEASE.

Hi. I'm John.

I was previously a helper on Helpx while I travelled around the world in 2015/2016. I'm now a host and I'm looking for someone to help out around my house in Portlaw in County Waterford for up to 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week.

In August 2015 I left Ireland to embark on an 11 month round the world trip taking in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Croatia, Netherlands and Belgium before returning to Ireland in July 2016.

My house is quiet as I currently live on my own. The town of Portlaw itself is only 20 minutes from Waterford City. It is a small town of about 1,700 people. It is a relatively new town in Irish terms and was established around the year 1825. The town has a small supermarket, a small grocery shop, an historical center, a library, a pharmacy, a Chinese takeaway, two fast food takeaways, a new bistro which serves... more inside

Hi, ++UPDATE++ we're ok for house-sitters at the moment.
Trustworthy HOUSE & ANIMAL-SITTERS often welcome!.... People definitely not afraid of animals please for house-sitting! Let me know your dates and I might even plan a trip-away around them.
We would need you to to arrive a few days before we leave. Will take you food shopping before we go and can also ask friends to take you shopping once a week if needed.

Our family live in a small, traditional Irish cottage, in a country location, with 5 cats, 2dogs, a horse, and a jenet. We are located a 30 min drive to limerick city and to Ennis, and a 45 minute drive to Shannon airport.

Buses and public transport are unfortunately (almost) non-existent here in East Clare but friends and neighbors are always on the move so hopefully no-one will ever feel stranded. We live two miles from nearest small village & pub. We might be able to borrow a bike if desired too.

We invite helpers to work for approx 4 hours per day, and for 4/... more inside

Hi there. Exploring the Wild atlantic Way, or looking for a an Irish family cultural experience?

If you enjoy a family environment, and are fit and relatively experienced it would be great to have your help at Little House (mostly garden but some DIY/renovation if skilled) In exchange you get food and board and a welcome into our Irish family ways.
Note: we have 2 dogs, a cat and live in a quiet rural area. We are non smokers and enjoy a varied meat based healthy diet. We also drink alcohol.
While we do have wifi, it is restricted to the house and certain hours.
If you do not have any references on the Helpx site I will ask for work/character references. Check out what other Helpx have to say about us/Little House.
