My partner Roger and I live in the South of Spain (Andalusia),in a lovely, virgin mountain valley with a river,4,5km from the nearest village,Alozaina, and 50km from the sea (easy travel for a weekend). We are an English-Polish couple with a 5 years old boy, Julian, and a baby daughter, Maya. We run a small ecological finca with a lovely fruit(mainly orange) orchard and veg garden. We live a happy, peaceful life surrounded by nature and according to a rhythm of work that needs to be done on the farm.We treasure the wild life around us,all the herbs that heal us, all the fruits and veges that feed us.We cook simple food, organic as much as possible. We ask for help in exchange for food and accommodation: baby sitting, preparation of meals, organic farming, food processing, minor handyman work, cleaning,.We accept minimum stay of two weeks.
Alozaina has lots of hiking routs; mountain bike riding is also an option. Historical town Ronda, 50km away, is great for visiting on weekends too.

This is a social and sustainable project for creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
We have five little greenhouses and a lot of exterior vegetables and fruit trees (apple trees, blueberries, strawberries, beans, potatoes, leeks,etc.).
We would like helpers interested in this project and in having fun days with Asturian people, near the sea and the mountains.

We are an english couple with 3 young bilingual (english/spanish) children. We speak english, reasonable spanish and a little french and german. We are currently finishing the renovation of our home which is about a 25 minute drive from the coastal town of Almunecar in the province of Granda. Our property is on about 8000m2 of land with a variety of fruit trees which need tending. We also have another 15000m2 which we are hoping to farm in the near future. We need help with strimming and land clearance, some construction work. The irrigation system needs updating. Also, we would like to plant produce, ie potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, beans, gourds etc etc. So help with digging a kitchen garden would be appreciated. Late November/early December time (depending when the olive mill opens!) we harvest our olives.

In addition, other help that can be given would be with domestic chores, ie cooking or help tidying the kids toys etc.

The work would be for approximately... more inside

I live on half a hectare of mountainous Mediterranean woodland with my boyfriend and 2 dogs. An area of oustanding beauty, it is nestled within a suntrap at about 1300 metres. With hot dry summers and cold wet winters, many fruit trees thrive here, and many Ash trees also. The land is bordered by 2 rivers and so there is an abundance of fertility and wildlife. I am at the beginning this project, so still clearing the land of spanish broom, briar roses and brambles, and planting trees, rotavating our veggie patch, etc.... we need to fix the roof of our small home, and build a store room, kitchen, bedroom, build a big compost loo, build supporting walls for terraces, and hope to make a small eco-home for visiters, perhaps from strawbale, cob or earthbags.
Am looking forward to having help with all of these things. People who have capentry skills or knowledge of conventional building or eco-building, or people who can use a chainsaw, or are strong would be very helpful. But also peop... more inside

We are a certified organic farm (Olives and Almonds and some herbs) in a remote and beautiful part of southern Andalucia in Spain. We have certified organic for 10 years.

We urgently need an English to Spanish translator to help with our website translation and our marketing work. This can be done from home by email. Would suit a student.

Also of interest is a media student capable of making a short documentary about an important environmental issue in Ireland.

Some payment can be made by agreement.

Details of project can be seen on blog. It is an old Galician farmhouse now a family home with chickens, bees, rabbit, dogs. Not always child freindly being a bit of a ruinous state but lots of fields and forests to get lost in. Accomodation available in house or caravan. Anyone welcome with building, gardening, dry stone walling skills or someone who would just like to get stuck in and experience a different place.

Hello,

We are a small community of 6 people living in the charming town of Ronda, in Andalusia. We are looking for a volunteer to join us as soon as possible to help with some short and long term needs.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to staying for at least one month with a 1 week probation period where we can see if you fit in. We expect volunteers to work about 5 hours per day, with one day off. We provide a comfortable place to sleep and 3 tasty vegetarian meals per day.

We have just moved into new premises in the centre of Ronda and need help getting the place it into shape - cleaning, decorating etc.

The other most pressing need we have at this time is for a IT/Web Design/SEO specialist. We need help redesigning our website and streamlining our processes.

Other than that, we always need help with the day to day chores, including but not limited to cooking, cleaning and general maintenance.

As for us, we are easy going, light-hearted people who ... more inside

Looking For some help in our garden ready for harvesting later.
We're a couple from West Yorkshire who moved to Spain around 4 years ago for a taste of a long delayed good life.
We've also discovered that the amount of land we've taken on is possibly a little TOO much, because even the good life has a price!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
What we offer in return is accomodation in our seelf contained cottage (bathroom/shower, small kitchen, double bedroom and privacy, if thats what you want).
Good home cooking, no shortages, and a warm Yorkshire welcome.
We've even managed to get most UK tele programmes and SOMETIMES Internet access!
Trips out to local beauty spots and pubs, even the occasional "Menu del Dia", and odd visits to the "big City".We try to join in with local events.
Transport to and from bus or train stations if required.
Email or ring if you're interested - we'd be glad to hear from you.
My wife says I should tell everyone that we're smokers.
