We are located on a 65 acre property bordering the village of The Channon, near Lismore in northern NSW. We currently cater for 15-25 community members who have different roles around our permaculture farm. Our property has various earthworks, diverse plant species, mix of domestic livestock and native wild animals, all make for a stimulating and enjoyable experience for those who relish life in beautiful and interesting surrounds.

We are currently searching for someone to help us around our home including cleaning, child care, elderly care. There are many national parks, swimming holes, craft markets, a local store, flourishing community. We are 18km from Nimbin, and 21km from Lismore. Accommodation is in a small tin shed close to the education centre and above main crop.

We are happy to pick you up from Lismore.

Just doing some renovations, painting & cleaning up around the property and helping me to move/lift things.

The room available for visitors is quite large, carpeted and downstairs and has its own shower and toilet.

The location is very convenient and very close to the centre of Ballina, river, beach, etc.

I know the Northern Rivers region quite well and while Ballina is much quieter than Byron it still has plenty to offer and is well worth visiting.

Buses easily connect to Byron Bay and Lismore too.

I live on a rural property nestled in the hills out the back of mullumbimby (40 minutes to Byron Bay) on 17 acres. We have ocean views and cool breezes in the summer. You have the privacy of your own room or a comfy caravan with a queen bed. I have a shower but the bathroom is very basic and the toilet is composting. I need to replace walls, lining and additions. I need help with gardening, mowing, brush cutting, clearing, basic carpentry and building.
You need to have basic English skills, be able to work independently and to enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural setting as sometimes you will be on your own, I do not go to town everyday so if this is a problem you will need your own transport.

We are a busy, enthusiastic and friendly couple who are trying to make a good 'go of it'. We live about 40 min from Griffith on a mixed enterprise irrigation farm. Our main business involves cropping but we also support livestock and have part of the farm committed to a biodiversity project to encourage natural vegetation and re-growth. We are also actively involved in our community helping with the annual Carrathool Race Day (Feb), Gunbar Christmas Tree (Dec) and other delightful and fun gatherings.

We have recently become parents and are enjoying the amazing trip that it is but there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to achieve the bigger things(and sometimes the little things!). We live in the main homestead which is an amazing rammed earth building built in the 1930s. It has seen larger families than ours and now it needs a bit of 'love' to see it last through this next generation and beyond. I am trying to manage general maintenance and painting and a large garden. ... more inside
