Hi, We are Carla and Gabriel. Both originally from South America and leaving in NZ for a very long time. We bought a house last year in Rotorua and we have a room available for guests.

The house is modern and easy to maintain. Only 7 minutes from town (by car) and the bus stop not far.

We would enjoy having guests for a few days and a pair of hands would be much appreciated.

We got a few little projects in the house like painting, organizing the baseman, etc..

We look forward to hear from you.

Hi
We live on a small farm over looking Lake Okareka. We run deer and cattle and have areas of native bush and exotic forestry.
Rotorua has it all from pristine lakes to wake board on or catch trout, world renown mountain bike trail network, bush walks, geothermal wonders, Maori culture and much more.
We would like to host 1 or 2 physically capable people in our comfortable accommodation with all meals provided for a week in return for 4 hours/day flexible home and garden maintenance work. Helpers would need their own vehicle.

Sorry, we are unavailable for Helpx now until mid April. Sorry.

We live beside the beach at Mt Maunganui. We have a domestic garden that we would like help with. I have a weaving loom that I need help setting up. Sometimes we have house cleaning to do too. I am part of the boomerang bags recycling co-op so could also use some help with sewing. We also help our parents at a kiwifruit orchard with 2 major native plantings. These need weeding and track maintenance but we would be the hosts. We can do a range of work options from 4 hours. We can offer 3 meals per day. Our 2 adult boys come home for holidays sometimes and we sometimes host international students for our local Language School. We have a curious cat who thinks she can order us about. We are a busy but happy house.
We can pick up from the local bus stop in Tauranga or Mount and offer transport to our parents place in Omokoroa. Arrive on Thursday through Sunday if you can.
There is a beautiful beach 2 minutes walk awa... more inside

Hi,

We live on 120 ha Dairy farm approx 25 kms south of Rotorua, which is a Geothermal Spa town, renowned for its beautiful lakes, outdoors lifestyle, Maori culture, hot pools & world class mountain biking.
Part of the National Cycleway runs past the farm & offers 66 kms of cycling adventure.
Nearby Rainbow Mountain rewards hikers with fabulous views from its summit & there are hot pools at nearby Waikite Valley & Kerosene Creek.
Your own transport is preferable as we live in a rural area.

We offer good accommodation, meals & Internet access sufficient for emailing, in return for 4 hours help with general farm or household jobs a day.
These may include home & section maintenance, gardening, or helping with milking the cows.
We are non smokers & appreciate people who are respectful of our home.

We enjoy meeting new people & look forward to providing our Helpers with an authentic NZ farm experience & sharing our special part of the country with you.

Hello, I am Diane and this is my place!

I live on a peninsula situated the harbor of Tauranga where i grow non-organic flowers and foliage for the commercial flower industry. It is rewarding work, plenty of fresh air and nature.

I have 2 rooms available, with their own shared lounge (plus TV) and bathroom. It is a modern house, with unique styling, large open plan lounge and dining area. Plus 2 decks, one small deck and a large one that is kitted out with BBQ, lighting, power and great views.

There are plenty of public parks around, one right across the road, a large nature park with its own beach only 200m (220 yard) walk and another with a leisure wharf about 500m (550 yards) down the road.

About 2.5km (1.5 miles) away, at the start of the road there is an Asian fusion restaurant and pub which also has a small horse trekking business. The city of Tauranga is only about a 15km (9 mile) drive away, with the famous Mt Maunganui and its white sandy beaches and surf only a... more inside

Hello we are Wayne and Bev and we live on a farm in the Kaimai Ranges 20 minutes West of Tauranga on the Tauranga - Hamilton Road. Tauranga is in the sunny Bay of Plenty, half an hours drive from the famous Mount Maunganui surf beach. We are one hour by road from Rotorua's tourist attractions. One hour from Hamilton and approximately 2 hours from Auckland Airport. Because of our location your own vehicle would be an advantage. On our farm we have deer, sheep, cattle, goats, pigs, chooks, bees and wild rabbits. We have lots to do on our farm including building, fencing, animal care, calf rearing, water-blasting, firewood collection, timber milling, gardening, land clearing and all sorts of other small jobs. We offer you your own comfortable room in our barn style house with us. We Offer 3 meals a day and in return would appreciate 4-5 hours work. We are a relaxed hard working couple who enjoy meeting people and learning about other cultures, traditions and trying new foods. We want t... more inside

We have a spare room and a big beautiful garden with a swimming pool and spa. From time to time we are looking for some helpx'ers to help us keep the garden in check.

Our spare room has a large kingsize bed and we have a separate bathroom for you to use. In exchange for 4 hours work per day per person, we are more than happy to feed you and let you stay for free, swim in the pool etc. While we are not vegetarian, we often eat vegetarian meals so that is no problem. While we would prefer females, we will consider a male and female couple based on your reviews and meeting you. Please dont apply if you have no reviews. We are fairly close to town and the bus is available but if you have a car, it will be easier.

We have a kiwifruit orchard 5 mins drive from Te Puke. It is 15 mins drive to the beach and 40 mins to Rotorua. Supermarket is 5 mins drive away in town.

There is a native bush reserve on our property with a small cabin overlooking it. It sleeps two comfortably (two single beds), it has solar power with lighting, a gas cooker and fridge. There is a separate flush toilet with handbasin. Washing is either cold shower outside (summer only!) or at the owners house. There is mobile reception and phone charger in the cabin.

We are ideally wanting a couple who are fit, enthusiastic, non smoking and with a happy outlook on life that wants a few days accommodation in exchange for 2 hours work a day. They would be self sufficient and happy to cook their own meals. This would suit a couple that enjoy the outdoors and don't mind "no frills" living for a few days.

Most of the regular tasks on the orchard require experienced workers so we ask from visitors with no experience would be h... more inside
