We live up the beautiful Kawhatau Valley in Mangaweka, near Taihape and 2 hours south of Taupo and 3 hours North of Wellington.

We manage an asparagus farm, however it is currently not in season. The season runs from October - February. The farm has the Kawhatau River running through it. We look over the ranges which have snow on in the winter months and which have various different walks and tramping you can do.

My husband and I both in our early 30s have two young boys, 1 1/2 and 4 months old.

We are looking to have up to 3 people stay with us for 2-3 nights. The house has a seperate end with two bedrooms with bathroom and small kitchenette available. (1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed and 1 single) We could have a couple and friend or just a couple or up to 3 friends stay with us.

We would like anyone who is interested in helping with general jobs such as gardening, getting ready for the season jobs around the sheds. We have 100 cows on the farm, chickens and also Alpacas. Th... more inside

My husband and I run a small diary farm and have two small children, girl age 2 and boy 6months. We milk 200 cows and rear calves during spring. Located just off State highway 3, 6mins drive from friendly Feilding and 5mins from Sansan.

Feilding offers great cafes and restaurants, parks, a movie theatre, 3 supermarkets and of course the biggest sale yards in the southern hemisphere. On Fridays there is a great farmers market in the square.

A short drive down the hill to friendly Feilding, or 15min drive to Palmerston North CBD.

You will sleep in our newly restored caravan which is insulated and fully powered. Its trendy, light and sunny with a great view of the rural setting. The bed is a comfortable full queen mattress and base and all linen (including towels) is provided. While you have your own space for sleeping, bathroom facilities are shared inside our newly located and updated house. A small fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery and crockery are all supplied inside the c... more inside

Young shepherd working on a large hill country sheep and beef station. Farm is located in Tinui, a beautiful part of the Wairarapa close to Castlepoint beach and only 10 minutes from the local country pub. There is lots to do in the Wairarapa- tramping, hunting, fishing, wine festivals, beer festival, bull rides, vineyards, beaches, nice towns. I am a very keen fisherman, hunter (deer and pigs), horse rider, passionate farmer and spend alot of time training dogs. I'm very sociable you would be very welcome to come along. We have a hilly working farm of 150 ha with sheep, cattle and hens, and a little lifestyle block with horses, ponies and cats, in the foothills of the Tararuas.
We will happily host people who are prepared to put in some solid effort for four hours a day in exchange for gratitude, interesting experiences, a lovely physical environment, comfortable accommodation, autonomy, flexibility and good food.
There's a wide variety of work to be done, mostly manual, including pasture management, fencing, animal care, landscaping, tree work, gardening, building, homesteading.
Accommodation will either be in a warm, quiet room with ensuite at our house or, just as likely, at the fabulous Ratanui woolshed, see our website link above.
