My home is centrally located in Carlton North only 3km from the city centre and there are lots of parks nearby. It is 100 metres to the nearest tram stop. There are cafes and bars only doors away. My home is a two storey town house. The accommodation is in a bedroom/study with a single bed. I have 2 children, 10 years old and 12 years old and a dog (and 4 fish : ) ).

I need basic jobs done around the house like cleaning and some cooking.

We have had many lovely Helpx experiences sharing stories over our dinner table. Look forward to hearing from you and hearing your stories.

You are most welcome to come for 2 or 3 days to stay. We would love a friendly, honest person to help with garden mowing and tidying, pruning, cutting up branches and sanding and painting a room or two (I broke a bone in my hand and my partner is busy with work). We are directly on the tram line to the city and near the beaches tram interchange in a beautiful, safe and leafy suburb. I'm happy to help with your Resume and English (I'm a high school and university teacher and tutor) Want to learn to make a pavlova? I can teach you! Share simple cooking, walk on the most beautiful beach! We have travelled, lived in 4 countries, husband an aerospace engineer (often away), mother is a teacher of children and young adults with autistism and senior school English. Also a published writer. We need a non-smoker as I get bad asthma from smoke.

Our property is mostly native Australian vegetation that is still recovering from a major bushfire in recent years.
We are committed to environmentally friendly, chemical free practice, conservation and biodiversity principals and we are involved with the local land care group.
There is always plenty to do with maintaining the surrounding bushland vegetation that forms a part of a broader wildlife corridor for Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidnas, Owls and many other native birds.
Handy persons with a variety of skills or a willingness to learn are most welcome. Help with GRASS CUTTING, collection of FIRE WOOD, GENERAL HOUSE, PROPERTY and GARDEN MAINTENANCE is always appreciated.
