If you're fit, don't mind a morning's work in exchange for free food & board, good company and being surrounded by rolling green hills, then we'd welcome your help.

We are a family run farm with ~10 000 sheep and 750ha of crops. See the list of main jobs for each month at the end of our listing. However, it's normally quite mixed with other jobs like fencing, machinery maintenance and sheep work scattered throughout.

Our two youngest children (aged 17 & 19) are at boarding school/uni in Perth during the school term and home with us on some weekends & school holidays.

Our farm is close to the small town of Darkan, which has ~ 200 residents. There is public transport to the nearby town of Williams or locality of Arthur River by TransWA Bus(Perth-Albany) where we can arrange to pick up visitors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic helper who can speak some English and who doesn't mind sharing stories and information about their own country while helping around the far... more inside

My 'property' is named after the 70's TV characters that 'made good use of bad rubbish'. It is a 60's urban house (728sqm) that was all grass front and back and now is a budding permaculture urban farm. With food forests, chickens, aquaponics, bees and the home of the 'food is free Coolbellup' pilot project, Womble Inn is still transitioning but a great example of what can be achieved in an urban space.

The animals and I are at the beginning of the journey to live more simply, know where our food comes from, make our own soaps, toothpastes, reduce our plastic usage amongst many other things. It's been an interesting journey and many laughs at the challenges living simply presents. We donít always get it right but hey, part of the journey right?!

The house is situated very close to Fremantle with great beaches, live music scene, art galleries, and much more. We are also only 50m from the nearest bus stop that runs direct to Fremantle.

Accommodation is in a caravan hidden... more inside
