As a change from the rat race why not come & experience the good life with us. We always have lots of odd jobs to be done and lots of out door jobs, weeding, pruning, strimming, digging etc. Now is an important time to get on with the vegetable garden.Or painting the house, inside and out!
We live in an old stone spanish farmhouse, set in a perfect but remote location to relax & read or walk. Views to the sea and mountains. Helpers have a separate, spacious area with own bathroom/kitchen & terrace.
We have a solar power set-up and our own water supply & swimming pool!.
We have the usual mad spanish dogs on guard and a few chickens so eggs can be provided.
We have a vegetable garden that needs attention, replanning to turn into raised wicking beds. New trees planted.

Normally we ask for 5 hours work each, 5 1/2 days a week, in return for ingredients for breakfast. lunch and dinner are catered for, including a couple of beers!
But we can be flexible.
We are now a wifi zone!

We are a country family with two children. We live in Llanos de Somerón, a small village of 25 people in the Cantabrian mountains, North of Spain. Llanos is close to Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Nature Park, Biosphere Reserve, where bears or wolves are our neighbours too.

Our home is an unfinished building that we would like to make into a mountain hostel. Nowadays, we have started the construction and we are working slowly but with a lot of energy and excitement! For this reason, we need the help of construction workers or people with knowledge of building work.

We also own an organic farm where we enjoy growing a famous local pea and other vegetables destinated to our self supply. We spend a lot of time in this farm during summer so if you like gardening and learning about this task instead of construction if would be perfect too!.

We offer you good food (some organic products/hand made), a chance to learn spanish language and culture, local cuisine, peasants living experience an... more inside

We are an English couple who moved to Spain 2 years ago with our two Cockapoo’s Missy and Merlin. We own a rental villa for holiday lettings and enjoy receiving guests and ensuring they have a great holiday. We love the outdoor life, visiting the local villages, socialising with friends and walking our dogs. We also have 2 cats Rafa and Hugo. We live between 2 Spanish villages Almogia and Villanueva de la conception in the mountains. There is a little hamlet close by called Pastelero which has two restaurants, you can walk there in half an hour. Malaga and the coast are a 45 minute drive away.
We have a self contained one bedroom Casita where we are offering accommodation and food in exchange for 5 hours a day (6 days a week) help with gardening, mainly weeding, strimming, cutting back plants and planting out. There may be other odd jobs we need doing around the rental but the help we require is mainly gardening as we have two big gardens to maintain.

FULLY BOOKED UNTIL SEPTEMBER. NO MORE APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT SUMMER, PLEASE!

Looking for different skills (no need to have all of them!): painter, electrician, plumber, carpenter. We could also host someone that doesn't mind helping us cleaning our home + sewing and/or ironing.

PLASTERER AND PAINTER: If you are really good at plastering grouting and painting, we would be happy to meet you, as we are still half way of painting our home and, as it's an ancient one (built in 1899!), we need re-plastering and grouting some old walls!. We'd also need help plastering and painting a flat in Barcelona, too (but you would stay with us in Vilanova and work intensively a couple a days a week in BCN).

ELECTRICIAN AND PLUMBER: for cleaning the radiators and central heating (draining and refilling pipes, etc). We'll also need to change our kitchen hood and repairing a couple of switches that don't work properly. We are a family that has a small campsite and a restaurant. We are Jesus, Conxita, Marc (33) and Africa (30).

Our house has 40 plots and 3 bungalows. We have family tourism. We have a small animal farm with chickens, rabbits, 2 goats, 2 horses and a pony. We visit the farm with children 2 times a day (weekend and summer).

We would like to welcome our people who want to be in full nature and with great appreciation for animals and children. In addition to good skills to do some work, from maintaining the gardens and farms of animls to help the restaurant / bar and activities in nature with children.

The accommodation is a 10-minute drive from the campsite, in the house of Africa and Jordi. There you have a room for you, with Wi-Fi and kitchen.

It is better for us if you come for a minimum of 2 weeks. Depending on the time of the year the tasks are very varied. From June to August there are more tourists every day of the week but from September to May it is only open to th... more inside

I have been living in Andalucia 17yrs, with my son and 2 daughters. The eldest, who is now studying in Granada.

Having reformed our cortijo’, country house into rental properties, enclosed in a courtyard garden with pool.
I then moved our family ‘camping style’, onto the large piece of land in front, which is separated by a track.
I then set about building, creatively on a small budget, with help from friends and world wide exchange.
Using stones collected from the nearby riverbed, marble, slate and many recycled materials from skips etc.
Now, over the years, it’s grown into a 4 bedroom family home with various outbuildings and dwellings:

A converted bus sits in the corner of this Olive grove, with its outside kitchen/living space all under one roof.

Closeby, along a pathway is the coloured glass, bottle bathroom, then next to this is a platform, built ready for the sauna, awaiting assembly, In a storage room, which will then become its shower & changing roo... more inside

Once upon a time, I decided to become self-sufficient and independent. I found my little piece of paradise and decided to spend my life's savings to buy this 6 hectares of amazingness.

I blog, write about freedom, voluntaryism and how bad, obsolete and not needed politicians are :)

If you are a communist or a New Cager... it is probably best if you find some other project that resonates with these values.

If you however are into spirituality, like philosophical talks, are open-minded and enjoy life, nature, this is the place for you.

I've been living in a remote land in the middle of Rio Trevelez valley on 1400m, Las Alpujarras, Sierra Nevada Natural Park, South Spain for 2,5 years. I am trying my best to become completely self-sufficient this year. My electricity comes from solar/wind/water power. My water comes from a str... more inside
