We are a Red Angus Cattle Stud (my husband, myself and my twin son and daughter, age 21, are actively involved in the running, with my daughter still living at home doing her uni degree). Running up to 100 head on 4 different properties, ranging up to 30 minutes from our home block. We show our cattle at local ag shows with our two main shows being Ekka this year and Sydney in 2016. Also we do embryo transferring meaning we obtain the semen from overseas, artificially inseminating the cow, then flushing to obtain the eggs when fertilized. Then we transfer the eggs into a surrogate cow who carries the calf to term and raises it. We also have a fodder system, which means we put barley seed into trays, it self waters, in six days we have barley sprouts for our show cattle. We also have a small flock sheep, hens, horses, dogs cats and goats we milk. We are 20 minutes from Toowoomba.
We would love people to enjoy participating and helping with general farm work, such as fencing, feedi... more inside

CURRIMUNDI (NORTH CALOUNDRA)

Short stays available now!

We are a young family with two small children (4yo & 2yo). Father works away so help needed may include some childcare, as well as housework (both general day-to-day and more thorough 'spring' cleaning) and gardening to help me (mother) whilst he is away.

You will be required to work 4hr per day in return for accommodation and 3 meals. Meals are not prepared for you but you have free reign of the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. You will need to cook a nutritious dinner each night for the family and yourself. We all sit down eat dinner together every night, but you may make and eat your breakfast and lunch whenever you like. Cooking dinner will be included in your work hours (I estimate a generous 2 hours for cooking and dinner clean up each day, leaving another 2hr work around the house/yard each day). Thoroughly cleaning the dining area and kitchen afterwards is also required.

Hi,
I'm back and my property needs lots of work and cleaning up!

Please note that most of the work will be outside, and sometimes we will work hard - (no heavy lifting though - unless you are strong:-)

I would prefer one or two (maybe 3) Asian helpers, as I am also developing a business aimed at Asian visitors to the Gold Coast, and would appreciate all help/advice offered.

My property is in the Gold Coast hinterland. Only 15 mins drive to Helensvale train/bus station (with direct access to Brisbane) and Westfield Shopping Centre, and 25 minutes to Surfers Paradise, beaches etc.

Almost 8 acres of land, with only a very small (almost non-existent?) vegie garden. I would like to expand the garden to include a variety of fruit and vegies, and also need help to maintain the property.

You can hand feed the Kookaburras, and magpies, and there are usually wallabies and kangaroos to be seen in the mornings and afternoons.

Broadband internet available, and use of computer... more inside

We live on the edge of a small village on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We are a ten minute walk from the shops and the train line. We have a home designed for sustainable climate control and a permaculture-ish vegetable garden. We need help with the garden, as well as help with landscaping the property and other home maintenance jobs. In exchange we offer your own room and bathroom, wifi with some limitations, vegetarian food, mostly from the garden and opportunities to join in bush-walking or other activities.
We have had many international visitors during the last four years and we love to hear about different cultures and share our beautiful home with people who are willing to join in with us.
Sorry, no smokers.

Spring cleaning, handy person projects, plenty of work at our shabby chic but comfortable rambling home in its permaculture garden on the beautiful red soils of Lamb Island. The island is very quiet and a small community. We expect our helpers to work in the mornings, help cook the evening meal and fit in with our neighbors early nights.

Looking for one or two people for minimum 2 nights but maximum 3 nights. Longer stays possible. We are experienced home stay carers and can offer individual lessons in English, boat operation and driving for a price to be negotiated. Islands offer mostly natural beauties, curlews and mangroves. We have bikes you are welcome to use.
