Hello....
We are home owners with a passion for growing organic vegetables, we are very near the source of the river Waveney in the Lopham and Redgrave fen ...
The fen soil is fantastic black peat and everything grows wonderfully and vigorously ..!
We have great plans, mainly to grow great food but also to fix up the place which is slightly tired and to build a workshop etc etc etc, much to do...!!
If you have the skills and enthusiasm and fancy some good honest hard work please contact us....
The arrangements would be on a monthly basis with work being flexible and can be discussed once skill sets have been established..

Regards julian and Cecile .o

I'm looking for someone to help me with my Garden and multiple professional art projects.

WE have a few garden projects and possibly knowledge of how to create a deck. But this is only for someone experienced. So perhaps others can help with painting the outside of my studio.
I need someone who can learn about making stretched canvas, creating frames for art work - a practical hands on person. There may be a bit of cooking, cleaning and gardening and childcare too. Playing with out 6 Year old boy is likely to factor in this!

January 2018 into February is when we are looking.

We are a family of three living in a good size three bed semi in a highly desirable English country village. I am an artists painter and my husband is a law manager, we have a Six year old boy, who is used to visitors. The village has local shop, butcher, bakery and 4 pubs. 15 minute walk to the close by town and then 24 mins by train to London. We have a double room available and full use of ... more inside

Our home an old, 19c red brick farmhouse near miles of coastal nature reserves. The area is popular with tourists who come to see the seals at Donna Nook in November & December. Great area for photography, walking, etc - beautiful coastline and countryside - VERY rural, farmland surrounds us.

Cloddygate Farm is NOT a working farm. We have a large organic garden with flower borders, veggie patch, herb garden, fruit trees and greenhouse.

We keep a few hens for the fantastic eggs and the 'girls' are great fun too!

We usually like short term helpers(2 - 4 weeks) working in the gardens, weeding, planting etc., sometimes helping around the house, cutting wood, cooking, preserving but it's difficult to know as we do projects as money allows but we'll try to make your stay as varied as possible.

We would also like help internal decorating/painting this year.

Expect to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. In addition keeping your own room and your bathroom clean and tidy and ch... more inside

After a long winter break we are now ready to welcome new people, and are happy to hear from anyone who would like to stay with us and help for a bit from January 2018 onwards.

We live in the small city of Hereford and my partner Richard lives nearby. I have three grown-up children (two are travelling at the moment, and my son lives in the area). We have got a cat and a kitten, and Richard has got a dog. We are friendly, open-minded and outgoing and enjoy meeting new people.

I have a small garden, and live 10 minutes walk from the centre of Hereford with its beautiful cathedral, but also very close to open countryside. There are some small towns nearby to explore, lots of quiet lanes for running or cycling and a river for lovely walks.

There are always a variety of jobs to be done, both in the garden and in the house, such as planting, building raised beds, painting garden furniture, repairing bikes, or helping with jobs around the house such as cooking, woodwork, clean... more inside

I am based on the edge of the lake district, running two small businesses. I am looking for helpers through the summer months to assist with a range of jobs, including marquee work, activity leading (paintball & archery), joinery, and some basic admin work.

There will be plenty of opportunities to travel the local area, along with occasional work trips around the country.

We will arrange accommodation, as well as offering a wage.

Experience not necessary, just a proactive attitude.

Required from June to October.

We are situated on the in south-east Staffordshire. The farm converted from dairy cows to goats in 1987. This is when our cheese began.

Our approach to farming here is simple and holistic. We value milking our own goats because it gives us the control we need to produce clean, high quality milk for cheese making.

We are a small family business with a great team who are at the core of the farm.

We are looking for helpers on the farm throughout kidding season (feb-july). Previous experience with livestock would be useful. However it is more important that helpers are practical and independent. We are looking for people who genuinely want to learn about farming. There may also be opportunities to work in the dairy if the helper is interested in cheesemaking. However working with the livestock will be the main daily tasks.

Accommodation will be in the main farmhouse.
We ask that helpers only apply if they are willing to commit to a long-term placement 1+ months.

We run a yurt camp site, with 4 Yurts and a Shepherd's Hut. We're looking for a competent person or a couple who can help us with the yurts (a "Green" environmentally award winning site which we've been running for 8 years), as well as work in the meadow, around the garden and maintaining the farm buildings. Whilst not registered organic, we have an organic sensibility and don't use any chemicals on the land.

We (Kim and Nick) live in Suffolk, in the East of England, in a 17th century renovated farmhouse and have a small, elderly, dog - no other animals. The house and our 5 acres is very rural; buses run past the front door to the nearest town of Halesworth (3 miles) with good shops and an arts centre, and beyond to the beach at Southwold and to Beccles, a bustling town at the southern end of the Norfolk Broads. There's a station 2 miles away, a bus stop (one mile away) to the lively city of Norwich and we have bicycles to borrow. Our village of Westhall is quiet with a smal... more inside
