Hi There, I am a single mum with a ten year old daughter. We have recently returned home from 6 months travel using help x along the way and had an amazing time :) We are looking for preferably a single female, who could help out a few hours a day with either some weeding, laundry, cleaning and some odd babysitting in exchange for a room in our house. I won't be able to provide meals except for maybe some breakfast items such as bread, cereal and milk.

We live in Aldinga on the beautiful Flurieu Peninsula of South Australia, with beautiful beaches, Vineyards and rolling hills around us. You may prefer to have your own car or bike to get around. Shops are down the road and the beach is maybe a ten minute bike ride.

Look forward to hearing from you, please email me as first contact, or send me a text msg and I will be in touch as soon as i can. Thank you. Sally and Olivia :)

Unfortunately our current beautiful helper will soon be moving on to continue her travels - so, my husband and I are looking for an au pair style helper (preferably female) to join our family starting mid August through to the end of September (approximately 6 weeks).
We have 2 little girls, a 2 year old, who the time will mostly be with, and a 5 year old, who attends school.
We live in a tiny beachfront town on the South Australian Eyre Peninsula.
Each year, the Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales migrate here to mate and calve. We operate whale watching cruises on our 50ft vessel out of the bay.
Our tours are 2.5hrs long so we would need care for our toddler from about 8.30am until about 1.30pm - approximately 5 days per week. The days and times may vary due to different tour groups, but it will generally average about 25 hrs per week with plenty of time off to surf, fish, relax our go out on the boat.
Some school pickups may be required for our 5 year old so a dr... more inside

Hi, Mark and Jenn here from Sunnyside with our 2 active fur babies Baylie and Roxy. We moved here at the beginning of the year and have been busy working on improving the property. Currently we have a few sheep on the property.

We are looking for up to 4 people to help with various inside and outside jobs around the property from early October. Examples of inside jobs include painting, cleaning, light repairs etc. Outside jobs include gardening, light farm work, general tidying etc. Ideally we would like helpers to stay for a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks with the possibility of longer stays negotiable.

Accommodation in the home and meals can be provided in return for 5 - 6 hours work per day for 5 days a week, negotiable. Due to health issues and personal values we are a non-smoking / no drugs (illicit) household. Own transport preferable as we are a couple of kilometres out of town.

We are central to many tourist attractions including the Adelaide Hills (eg Hahndorf), Monarto... more inside

We run a small beef cattle farm in the Barossa Valley as well as a guesthouse with gardens, 36 tree fruit orchard plus a vegetable garden.

We are an easy going family of four with two teenage children plus a couple of Golden Retreivers.

When we are not running the guesthouse, we are working the farm and gardens. The cattle are Black Angus plus a couple of stragglers from when we ran a vealer production unit. Vealer production in Australia is nothing like that of Europe.

We are minimum intervention farmers but use a lot of cell grazing. Much of our thinking comes from people like Andre Voisin and Joel Salatin. We are in the process of building an egg mobile.

Being in the Barossa means we are pretty passionate about our food and wine so our guests don't go hungry or thirsty! We would ask that you understand that we are not in a position to cater for vegetarians.

The work here is varied but not difficult. Farm work can include moving cattle, fencing and cleaning water tro... more inside

Hi :) My name is Danielle, I'm 27 years old and work from home on my online business. I live in the city with my boyfriend who works in IT.

We are both very busy during the weekdays with our work so we thought we could offer one of our free bedrooms on helpx in exchange for some help around the house. We both also love to travel so we thought it was another good way to meet people from other countries and learn about their culture whilst still staying at home.

Our house is close to the free city bus and we also have a bike you may wish to borrow. We are in a very central location and anything you need is around the corner (shops, cafe, pubs, bank etc) The main street in the city is just under a 20 minute walk away. You will have your own bedroom.

The type of help we mainly require is general household cleaning, gardening and any other jobs that you could do to help us save time :)

Please email me if you have any questions :)

We, Maria and Georg, are a professional couple who choose to life on a rural farmlet as a lifestyle choice close to town.

We grow some of our own veggies, have some small animals to support the current setup. Adding to our tight knitted setup we have two independent children in the age of 13 and 11.

We offer free accommodation for help on the farm or for other hands on approaches.

As for us, Maria and Georg, we own the farmlet as a lifestyle choice and work on the property when time allows. Maria is a busy teacher currently on sick leave after knee replacement and I am a Mortgage Broker.

We have some native Australian animals with giant lizards and kangaroos, 2 dogs, plenty of chickens. I do enjoy my greenhouse with vegetables, building things i need, fishing, camping if time allows as well as hunting.

As a result, your help will be much appreciated.

We are always looking for energetic happy people to help out with:
* general gardening duties, weeding, grass ... more inside
