*** Currently looking for help from mid August until the end of October. Preferably 3 week stay or more. We would like about 10 or 12 helpers throughout August and September and currently have about 6. Thank you!***

PROJECT
Our work is towards becoming a sustainable project funded by opening our fields to campers during the Summer season. We grow our own vegetables which we share with campers and volunteers. Our animals are mostly rescue, and our land is now almost organic. We practice recycling.

We have a variety of jobs at Cerenety, and previous skills and experience are not necessary, however if any one has any experience with horses, gardening, building, plumbing or electrics, then they are always valuable at Cerenety.

We are also looking for someone throughout the summer who can help us with some admin. If anyone is interested in helping with answering emails and taking campsite bookings, that would be wonderful. We do a lot ourselves, but it would be great to have ... more inside

Mick and I live in an area close to Liverpool ,Chester and Manchester. We have a horse and 4 dogs and there are always small jobs which I need help with such as fencing ,gardening and general land maintenance .We grow our own vegetables too. My partner keeps vintage cars and sometimes needs help with them we use them throughout the summer so sometimes we will be able to take you out in one. We live in a very old house with not much heating so preferably we don't have people from November till April .Some of the work may be painting ,general maintenance etc The land has got out of control a bit this summer so theres a lot of wood chopping ,grass cutting and bonfires to do we usually suggest working for 5/6 hours one day with the next day off for sightseeing. We never ask anyone to do anything we would not do ourselves .We have space for anyone with a camper van. Wales and the Lake District are all within easy reach . Come and join us on our organic, off-grid smallholding in 2017

We are James and Sukamala, we run an off-grid, low-impact farming project established in north Devon, England.

Our salad leaf business is well under way for the new season as crops have been overwintering in the polytunnel. Our 5 pigs have gone for meat and we have a freezer full. (Gloucester Old Spot crosses) and our 10 sheep (Shetlands) have all had lambs in april.as of august 2017 we now have four new Oxford sandy and black piglets. We will keep one for breeding with and the others will go for meat.

We are looking for someone (friends and couples
Are fine too) to help out on our smallholding for the 2017 season with our established salad and veg business and to help with livestock and practical building and maintenance jobs. Most work/exchange requests will be considered but generally we are looking for weeks at a time or the rest of the season if you want to stay a longer time. In exchange for 4 days work a... more inside

We live in a beautiful and peaceful 30 acre smallholding, up the hill from Penzance, and overlooking St Michael's Mount. We have planted hundreds of trees, and are trying to provide a secure wildlife habitat. We have created a magical pathway through our woods and down past our stream, and this needs ongoing care. At this time of year, we need help with a variety of tasks, from strimming and brush cutting, to collecting and preparing firewood. The large garden is always in need of weeding and pruning. Cooking and cleaning are always a welcome addition, as a bit of contrast with the heavier work outside. We have a couple of bicycles for use if anyone is interested. Penzance is only a 25 minute walk, and a 10 minute cycle, mostly downhill! We live in a large house which is very spacious, and the accommodation is very comfortable.
We are currently looking for help during June. Please get in touch if you are a reasonably independent-spirited couple, energetic, and enjoy relaxing as we... more inside

I have an allotment which needs digging over before the winter too. It is in a beautiful spot 5 mins walk from the house and could use some help there too
This area is beautiful and green although we are located in a major city. Bus route just outside the door to central Birmingham, Stratford is 15 miles away. Lots to see and do here, Birmingham is an exciting, vibrant and friendly city.

We are 3 sisters looking for help with our sweet-tempered 101 year old mum, who was a sheep farmer & has always expressed a wish to die in her own home. We have a lovely nurse who comes in a lot but still need some help with nights & light daytime duties. The house, which is probably at latest eighteenth century & Cotswold stone, was renovated in 1967 & since then only running repairs, so it's like living in a time warp but there is an Aga cooker, A gardener deals with mowing & flower beds, but there is scope for Helpx to do some gardening too. We are in the very heart of the Cotswolds in a vibrant village & within bicycling reach of sports facilties.

**We have space between 1st to 15th October for helpers who want to stay one or two weeks. This will be our last helper opportunities this season.**

We keep poultry and rabbits and have a vegetable garden at our house in a small village on the Quantock Hills. We are also involved with our family horticultural nursery and smallholding two miles away, where our family also has beehives. We sell eggs and breed and sell ducks, hens and rabbits. We run courses in poultry-keeping from beginners to advanced levels (that helpers are welcome to participate in). We have an interest in sustainable/local food production and are starting to experiment with perennial vegetables and how chickens and ducks can be integrated in to a system. We kill and prepare our own chicken for the table.

We are looking for help for about 28 hours a week, spread to be mutually convenient.

After being shown how and becoming confident we like helpers to take responsibility for feeding and watering the rabbi... more inside
